Description
This is an individual farm and social promotion association. It is located in a beautiful 7-hectare hill on the hills of Saludecio, 20 km from Cattolica in the Province of Rimini. Since 2015, when we took this land, we have dedicated ourselves to restoring the abandoned olive field and the restoration of facilities and accomodation. We use the principles of permaculture and regenerative organic agriculture as an a methodological approach and as work tools. In addition to the olive grove that we have integrated with other crops such as artichoke, asparagus, blackberries, currants, hazelnuts and almonds, we have terraced part of the land to be able to cultivate it with vegetables. Now we have about half a hectare of vegetable garden and another experimental garden of more didactic as well as production use. At the village we do not only deal with agriculture but we also work on the upgrading of green building structures, we offer training courses in the fields of permaculture, agriculture, art, green building, food, etc. We organize courses with children and adolescents; we practice yoga and meditation. Our cuisine is mainly vegetarian with products from our garden.
We like to understand volunteers as part of our project, even if for a short time and we like the idea of exchanging knowledge and experiences. We are open to foreign volunteers and we speak English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. The typical day of a volunteer is awake at 7:00 am, breakfast and a small briefing on the work before starting the day. We go from 8 to 12 with a break and then prepare lunch together. In the afternoon you can relax a bit and help another hour. In the summer, people try to avoid helping outdoors during too hot hours. Saturdays and Sundays we do not work except when there are things urgent do do or during courses or events.
The volunteers sleep in a comfortable yurt and the services in the village consist of a kitchen, a comfortable barrel compost toilet and a shower with water heated by a wood-fired boilerTypes of help and learning opportunities
