Description
A BIG hello from our Campsite at the holy Mount Ida, Kaz Daglari in Turkish, mountain of the goddess which was sacred for Zeus, and so for us too! We are located outside of a small village near Edremit, Balikesir; which is 4 hours drive from Istanbul, 25 mins from the airport, and 45 mins from the very popular seaside town Ayvalık and many more holiday spots on the beautiful Northern Aegean coast.
We are a campsite with 3 bungalows, and 3 glamping tents, on top of that guests can bring their own tents and spend some days here. We are located by the Zeytinli River, where you can take a dip at the little pond right next to us, hike, and enjoy some time at the breathtaking nature spots or drive 15 mins to the beach of Akçay and enjoy the Aegean sea.
There are various tasks planned mainly for the months of Jun'24, where we would need some volunteers. We plant a little garden for our consumption. Main tasks would include caring for the garden & plants, manage the garden with holistic agriculture principles.
Last but not least, we are also looking for some Photographer who can create social media photos and reels together with the work in the land.
Main help is needed during June, but we may discuss other times depending on the needs and availability. We would be expecting 4-5 hours of work 5 days a week, and the rest of the time will be free.
We have very limited and unpredictable access to internet as there is no coverage. Keep that in mind.
We would also like to know what is YOUR SPECIAL POWER, what you can teach, make a workshop or play, draw etc :) We love to share <3Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I have lived and worked in 5 different countries for 8 years, and I have decided to leave the city return back to Turkey, to mount Ida, to create some space for people who are like minded, who can grow create and evolve while respecting the mighty nature of the mountain. Our camping is always hosting artists, musicians, and interesting people from all around. We can offer a beautiful cultural exchange and also a lot of hidden nature travel spots as well as popular places like the seaside towns.
Help
Currently the camp is dormant since the summer end, and we plan to start operations by Apr 9.
There are various tasks planned mainly for the months of April and May, where we would need some volunteers. We plant a little garden for our consumption. Main tasks would include laying the garden beds and sow some plants, manage the garden with holistic agriculture principles. Another task is setting up the land for the season (i.e setting up solar system again, put up the glamping tents, and set up the roads, parking area etc with some signs etc.) There is also a possibility of a volunteer in the kitchen who will be responsible from cooking and cleaning in general for the volunteers. We will provide 3 meals a day, vegetarian.
Last but not least, we are also looking for 1 or 2 people who has experience in social media + web content creation and management, as well as some experience on event management.
Main help is needed during June, but we may discuss other times depending on the needs and availability. We would be expecting 4-5 hours of work 5 days a week, and the rest of the time will be free.Languages

We can provide a shared 3 big tents with beds & sheets and blankets (everything you may need to sleep including pillows etc) where 2 people can sleep in each one. We can host a total 6 people 2 in each tent.
What else ...
The land is 3kms walk from the village, yet deep inside Nature and hidden. If you prefer to be in the nature, you can swim or chill at the pond at the land, take a hike towards the mountain, visit the Natural park of mount Ida at walking or cycling distance. If you prefer a bit of civilization you can spend some time at the village (There is no internet coverage at the land, you could go to a cafe at the village to handle your internet needs.) You could go to Akçay, Küçükkuyu, Güre, all beautiful seaside holiday spots around. Within a 30 min- 1h drive you can go to other really popular mount Ida villages of Adatepe, Yesilyurt, Camlibel, Tahtakuslar or one of the most popular beach towns in Turkey, Ayvalık, Assos, etc.
