    Description

We are three families on the edge of a community who are always looking for families who want to join a community OR just great people who want to come do work exchange. We are at a farm and next door is another Eco Village.

The walk from us to an eco village is one mile, you can either take the dirt road or forest path (bit over grown).

We are looking for people who want to come and do work exchange but also experience this beautiful life we are enjoying. It's country side 100% and very relaxed and quiet environment.

It is a homesteader community so each person is more spread out and not so close, then an eco village village is a tight built village of houses. You will be welcome to walk around both and enjoy any potlucks, events, etc.

The community here is filled with a lot of straw bale and cob buildings so it's a great place to see them or attend one of the natural building workshops here if you're interested in that, or at least get to walk around and have a lot of 'ahhhhhhh' moments as there are some out of this world buildings here. And generally it's a great way to get away from the outside world and be suspended in this little village of people who all care about the planet but still be able to connect via internet to the world outside :) If you love animals then you are in for a treat as you can experience some beautiful organic and sustainable farms here where you can visit and cuddle cows, pigs, goats, chickens and ducks!

IMPORTANT::: this is simple living, meaning no luxuries unless you find woods and pond and bird song to be luxury :) But we have NO SHOWER OR BATH or flush toilets... bathing is with a hose and cold water or pond or walking.

If you are interested in living off grid, cooking on wood, being more green, non violent communication, alternative building techniques, composting toilets and community life in general then this will be the perfect exchange for you!

If you are actually interested in moving to such a place then please mention that to us as we are very much now looking for single moms or families who are interested in becoming members too.

Please message me if you're interested!!!

We are always building things, working on projects.... there is always stuff to do!!!

The hours would be 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.... plenty of time to enjoy the swimming pond, walks around the land of 300+ acres, enjoying a beer at happy hour, joining game night or whatever activities that are going on that week!

There are plenty of great spots to pitch a tent!!!

Food will of course be included. We eat pretty healthy here, a lot of local and organic food but also some that is just plain grocery stuff (just being honest! We aren't making our own ketchup yet!). We are vegetarian and your lunch and dinners will always be prepared but breakfast might sometimes be self serve.

Wifi available at one of our houses and next door.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I'm a world traveler and consider myself a world citizen as I was born in Eastern Europe and grew up in South Africa and now I'm here in the States! I truly think of myself as someone who seizes the moment or the day and I've been planning to build a house for so many years so this is a very special project to me and connects so deeply to my soul and spirit. I think my blood and body will be pumping with such high energy during this build and I hope you can come share it with me!!!
