I live in the beautiful Kamouraska region of Quebec. There's a wonderful community here and breathtaking scenery, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and those looking to meet new people. I have a large garden and pets: a cat and a dog, as well as some farm animals. I'm a cheerful, sociable, and enthusiastic person who always has a million and one projects on the go. I own a country house close to everything! I have a few self-sufficiency projects in mind and I work as a nurse.

J'habite dans la magnifique région du Kamouraska au Québec. Il y a ici une magnifique communauté et des paysages à couper le souffle, idéal pour les adeptes de plein-air et de belles rencontres. J'ai un grand jardin et des animaux également: un chat et un chien, mais aussi quelques animaux d'élevage. Je suis une personne joviale, sociale, enthousiaste et qui a toujours mille et un projet. Je possède une maison en campagne à proximité de tout! J'ai quelques projets d'autosuffisance et je travaille comme infirmière.

Participating in collective self-sufficiency projects: indeed, with a group of friends, we raise animals to meet our meat needs for the year! Learning about gardening and food processing: before becoming a nurse, I was a horticulturist and I have a large, diverse garden. I also forage for wild plants and know many edible plants and mushrooms. Meeting new people and discovering Quebec culture: at my place, there are often friends over, and we love to have fun, eat together, sing, and party!

Participer dans les projets collectifs d'auto-suffisance: en effet, avec un groupe d'amis, nous élevons des animaux pour nos besoins en viande pour l'année!
En apprendre sur le jardinage et la transformation alimentaire: avant d'être infirmière, j'étais horticultrice et j'ai un grand jardin diversifié. Je fais également de la cueillette sauvages et connais beaucoup de plantes et de champignons comestibles.
Rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et découvrir la culture québécoise: chez moi, il y a souvent des amis-es et on aime s'amuser, manger ensemble, chanter, faire la fête!

Help
I'm a mother of three children who will soon be 8, 10, and 12 years old. They're still a bit young to be left alone at home for extended periods. Therefore, I need a trustworthy adult who can be there for them while I'm at work during the summer. It's not a huge responsibility! However, I need someone responsible, imaginative, who loves children, and who speaks French.

Je suis une maman de trois enfants qui auront bientôt 8, 10 et 12 ans. Ils sont encore un peu jeunes pour rester de manière prolongée seuls à la maison. J'ai donc besoin d'un adulte de confiance qui peut assurer une présence lorsque je vais travailler durant la période estivale. Ce n'est pas une très grosse tâche! Néanmoins, j'ai besoin d'une personne responsable, imaginative, qui adore les enfants et qui parle français.

Accommodation
You will have a private room in the family home. The option of sleeping in a large, furnished tent is also available (with access to a small, shaded wooded area). We will decide together based on our needs and preferences. The children are not always here, and it is possible to stay during the weeks they are away. I am open to offering a per diem as a thank you for your services. Meals will, of course, be provided, and it would be nice to share the task of preparing them. I am looking for a warm and welcoming communicative atmosphere. I need someone independent and outgoing!

Vous aurez une chambre privée dans la maison familiale. L'option de dormir dans une grande tente avec du mobilier est également possible (accès à un petit boisé à l'ombre). Nous déciderons ensemble selon nos besoins et préférences. Les enfants ne sont pas toujours ici et il est possible de séjourner les semaines qu'ils sont absents. Je suis ouverte à offrir un per diem en guise de remerciement pour les services offerts. Les repas seront bien évidemment fournis et il serait agréable de partager la tâche de préparer les repas. Je recherche une atmosphère de cohabitation chaleureuse. J'ai besoin d'une personne autonome et qui a de l'entregent!

Je m'engage à fournir un vélo pour les déplacements: nous sommes à proximité de tout! Il n'y a pas de transport en commun. L'auto-stop est possible et sécuritaire au Québec.
Maison non-fumeur: il est possible de fumer à l'extérieur.
Dans tes temps libres: tu es libre d'utiliser la maison comme si tu étais chez toi, faire de la randonnée, aller te baigner, profiter du fleuve Saint-Laurent et des couchers de soleil les plus beaux au monde.
