    We keep sheep, goats and chickens.
    The young family keeps horses.

    We have been enthusiastically hosting through other travel platforms for many years and we have had many wonderful experiences with travellers who love the outdoors and are interested in a little self-catering. I am happy to share my various practical knowledge of rural cultural techniques for self-sufficiency . Our area is wonderful for walking and cycling . The old iron town of Steyr is 10 km away and the Kalkapen National Park about 30 km. Unfortunately there is no public transport in our valley, but we are happy to pick you up by bus or train .....

    Wir beherbergen seit vielen Jahren mit Begeisterung über die Reiseplattformen CS,WS,BW und TR und wir haben viele schöne Erfahrungen gemacht mit Reisenden die die Natur lieben und an ein wenig Selbstversorgung interessiert sind. Ich teile gerne meine diversen praktischen Kenntnisse von ländlichen Kulturtechniken zur Selbstversorgung . In unserer Gegend ist es wunderbar zum Wandern und Radfahren . Die alte Eisenstadt Steyr ist 10 km entfernt und der Nationalpark Kalkapen ca 30 km. Leider gibt es keine Öffis in unser kleines Tal, aber gerne Abholung von Bus oder Bahn .....

    We would be happy about any help, for example in the household, cleaning and tidying up, milking goats, making goat cheese, in the garden, watering, taking care of the animals on the farm, renewing fences, mowing grass,harvesting and processing fruit ,collect herbs,various repairs .........depending on the season, there are many different activities that are needed at the moment and support would be very welcome.


    Wir wären froh über jede Hilfe, zum Beispiel im Haushalt, beim zubereiten von Mahlzeiten, Reinigung und aufräumen , Ziegenmelken, Ziegenkäse machen, im Garten, gießen , die Tiere versorgen auf dem Hof, Zäune erneuern, Gras mähen, Obst ernten und verarbeiten ,Kräuter sammeln, diverse Reperaturen ........je nach Jahreszeit gibt es viele verschiedenste Tätigkeiten die gerade notwendig sind und Unterstützung wäre sehr willkommen.

    Please note - my niece is currently staying in the guest room and I am currently making my room available, or rather mattresses on the floor.
    Shared meals are a matter of course.
    ⚠️ -> our house is old, chaotic and without comfort!
    ( So not advisable for people who are allergic to dust or animal hair and people with spider phobia ! )

    Achtung - derzeit wohnt meine Nichte im Gästezimmer und ich stelle derzeit mein Zimmer zur Verfügung, bzw. Matrazen auf dem Boden.
    Gemeinsame Mahlzeiten sind selbstverständlich .

    ⚠️ unser Haus ist alt, chaotisch und ohne Komfort !
    ( also nicht ratsam für Staub- oder Tierhaar Allergiker und Menschen mit Spinnen Phobie ! )

    Tips for activities etc. :

    -> in our Mühlbach valley it is wonderful for hiking, for example on the Kneipp hiking trail. There are also climbing rocks nearby.
    ->a chapel, ("Wallerkapelle") can be reached on many steps, is picturesquely situated on a "Rauhwacke"-rock.
    -> an old Schaumuehle is 1 minute away...
    -> geocaching points nearby
    -> the village inn is 2 km away ;-)
    -> shopping facilities are 8 to 15 km away
    -> The Kalkalpen National Park is nearby (approx. 30 km)
    -> Steyr, our district town (approx. 10 km away) is an old "iron town" and has many sights.... e.g. the Wehrgraben......

    Tipps für Unternehmungen usw. :

    -> in unserem Mühlbach- Tal ist es wunderschoen zum Wandern , zum Beispiel auf dem Kneippwanderweg . Kletterfelsen gibts auch in der Nähe.
    ->eine Kapelle, ("Wallerkapelle") auf vielen Stufen erreichbar, liegt malerisch auf einem "Rauhwacke"-Felsen
    -> eine alte Schaumuehle ist 1 Minute entfernt...
    -> Geocachingpoints in der Nähe
    -> Das Dorfgasthaus ist 2 km entfernt ;-)
    ->Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind 8 bis 15 km entfernt
    -> Der Nationalpark Kalkalpen liegt in der Nähe (ca 30 km)
    -> Steyr, unsere Bezirksstadt (ca 10 km entfernt) ist eine alte "Eisenstadt" u besitzt viele Sehenswürdigkeiten....z.B. den Wehrgraben......
