  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Volunteers can learn or improve their Spanish and use their creativity to support the development of the rural house. Sometimes, they may also observe agricultural activities on the family farm.

I have many friends involved in different productive activities, so we can visit local projects if you’re interested—such as wine production, livestock, or agroforestry.

    Workshops:
As a self-taught builder who built my own house, I can teach:

    Basic arc welding
Basic plumbing (including how to create simple greywater and wastewater systems)

Social Planning & Public Management Workshop:
As a business administration engineer working in the public sector, I can also teach how to develop projects and propose solutions to the government, including:

    Project design
Searching and applying for public funding opportunities

  • Help

    Help

All help will be scheduled at appropriate times to make your stay enjoyable. Activities for volunteers depend on their skills, profession, and level of Spanish.

I will soon celebrate my birthday (in October), and I need help preparing the house and the party. The better we prepare, the more we will enjoy it!

    Daily activities include:

    Preparing the garden and greenhouse
    Maintaining the vegetable garden
    Germinating seeds and growing seedlings
Keeping the space clean and organized
    Gardening
    Creative support

This is a cozy place—help us improve it so many travelers can enjoy it.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In San Carlos, an agricultural town, you can visit Laguna Quirel, the cultural center, and the museum of Violeta Parra, an important figure in Chilean history. These and other points of interest are easy to locate on the town map. Nearby is the pre-Andean town of San Fabián.

We also coordinate with local guides, and my family offers other services that may interest you.

If you want to learn more, I work at the municipality, and we can explore topics of collective interest together.
