Description
Hello!
My name is Yago, but my friends call me Boody (I’m Spanish, originally from Egypt, with a bit of Italian influence too 😄). I’m a software developer and I live in a cozy house in Lliria, Valencia. I love cooking and sharing meals, so if you enjoy good food and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, you’ll feel at home here.
I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, exchanging ideas and experiences, and creating a good vibe together. Hosting Workawayers for me is about sharing, learning, and building something real.
⸻
🌿 About the project
I also have a countryside orange field, and I’m currently looking for motivated and passionate people who would like to help me take care of it and improve the space.
The work is simple but real—you’ll be connected with nature and part of a hands-on experience.
Tasks may include:• Taking care of the orange trees (watering, basic maintenance)• General land maintenance and cleaning• Small improvement projects around the field• Occasional help in the house (light tasks, nothing heavy)
No experience is needed, but I value people who are proactive, responsible, and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
⸻
🏡 Where and what you get
In exchange for your help (around 25 hours per week, flexible schedule), I offer:• Accommodation in a private tent on my terrace, with your own private bathroom• All meals included — we can cook together or I’ll cook for you• A relaxed and respectful environment• Two days off per week
Sometimes, we can also go to the beach or explore Valencia, or just chill and enjoy the quiet countryside life.
⸻
If you like nature, simple living, and authentic experiences, this could be a great match for you.
Looking forward to hearing from you!Boody
Tasks may include:
• Creating decorative mosaics (I’ll provide guidance and materials!)
• Taking care of my plants, watering, pruning, and a little gardening
• Organizing spaces and helping keep things tidy
• Light DIY and decorating projects—nothing heavy or technical
The atmosphere is very relaxed—this is not a job, but a shared experience based on cultural exchange and collaboration. Any specialized or professional work is always done by local workers.
⸻
If you’re curious, creative, and open to new experiences, I’d love to welcome you into my home and share this little slice of Valencia with you.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Boody

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying with me offers a unique cultural exchange experience. I am half Egyptian, half Spanish, with some Italian heritage as well. This blend of cultures is reflected in my home and lifestyle, providing a rich and diverse cultural environment.
1. **Culinary Diversity:** One of the best ways to experience a culture is through its food. I love cooking and can share with you a variety of dishes from Spanish, Egyptian, and Italian cuisines. We can cook together, and you’ll have the chance to learn recipes and cooking techniques from these different cultures.
2. **Language Exchange:** I speak Spanish and can help you practice if you are looking to improve your Spanish skills. Additionally, I can share some basics of Arabic and Italian. Language is a big part of culture, and this exchange can be a fun and educational experience.
3. **Exploring Local Culture:** With my motorcycle, I can take you around Valencia and Lliria, showing you local sights, festivals, and hidden gems that reflect the vibrant Spanish culture. You’ll have the opportunity to see how different cultures blend in this beautiful region.
4. **Cultural Traditions:** I can share stories and traditions from my Egyptian and Spanish backgrounds, and we can celebrate various cultural events together. This is a great opportunity to learn about different customs and ways of life.
I believe that cultural exchange is a two-way street, so I am also eager to learn about your culture and experiences. Together, we can create a rich and rewarding cultural exchange.
Help
I’m looking for a friendly and easygoing Workawayer to help out with small tasks around the home. The main tasks include:
1. Cat care – Feeding, playing, and making sure my cat is happy.
2. Cleaning and organizing – Helping keep things tidy, sorting out spaces, and making the home more comfortable.
3. Creative projects – Occasionally refreshing spaces with decoration or small improvements (nothing major or specialised).
I also spend time in a small house in the countryside, about 15 minutes from Lliria (Olocau), surrounded by nature. While my main location is in Lliria, I sometimes go there for small projects and to take care of some chickens. If you enjoy nature, you’re welcome to join me there occasionally for a change of scenery.
