Assist me around my spectacular mountain property and enjoy outdoor activities on Vancouver Island, Canada

  Description

  I am a 61 year old retired gay man who lives on a 30 acre spectacular mountain property 30 minutes from Victoria BC. The property has 180 degree views of the Olympic Peninsula and Sooke harbor with a lovely Golden doodle dog keeping watch. The house is off grid utilizing both solar and propane generator.
  
  I grew up in the interior of British Columbia in a small farming community. I started my career as an elementary school teacher on Vancouver Island and Read Island. After 8 years I entered to world of software development and sales and did that for 22 years. Living in Toronto, New York City, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles. Five years ago I decided to return to my beautiful home province of British Columbia and was so lucky to find ‘Bird House’: my new home in Metchosin, on Vancouver Island. The house and property have been featured in several design and home magazines.
  
  The place has so much potential and I have started to landscape but could use some help and partners in the effort.
  
  I love to meet new people and get exposure to new cultures and ideas. I have traveled a lot over my life my favs being Lisbon, Copenhagen and Costa Rica.
  
  I have a wonderful kitchen and love to cook and would welcome learning new cooking methods and new food culture.

  Vancouver Island is a spectacular place with many outdoor pursuits available (hiking, beaches, surfing, whale watching, old growth forests, mountain biking, etc…).
  
  As well my place in s full of opportunities to be creative and to creat landscape vistas.

  Help

  I am currently working on landscaping, creating pockets of beauty through out the property. The challenge I have is that the house is perched on rock and therefore soil and Water come at a premium. I welcome anyone who has experience with zero scaling. As well I have a seasonal pond that I would like to convert to an annual pond that would include a solar powered filtering system. Over the pond I have constructed a wood fired sauna. I have a small cabin that I could use help fixing up I have a lot of ideas and plans and could use some help with labor and or experience. Bonus if you are a carpenter (I am not).

  I have a private office with large windows and a most spectacular view. I worked in the tech space from this office for several years with little issues.

  Space for parking camper vans

  My house is at the end of a very steep 1km long drive way so large motor homes will have issues however all wheel drive or four wheel drive vans would be fine. There are several spot that would be perfect to park however I would not be able to provide sewer hook up.
