  Description

  I’m 43, of Greek and Tunisian roots, born in Germany and living in Cologne for the past 24 years. As a world traveller, I love to experience planet Earth in its many forms – nature, the sky, different cultures and the rich variety of humankind.
  
  I enjoy hands-on work and creativity: gardening, DIY projects like soap making, natural remedies, and weaving as well as cycling, hiking and dancing. Stillness, meditation and mantra singing are important sources of connection and balance for me.
  
  I’m reliable, mindful, and open-hearted, eager to learn new skills, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  
  Project & Vision
  My current project is to care for, improve and gradually upgrade my grandparents’ house — a place that means a lot to me, as my grandfather built it with his own hands. I want to preserve its soul while carefully improving and maintaining it for the future.
  
  I’m looking for Workawayers who enjoy hands-on tasks and would like to contribute their skills, ideas and energy to this process. More than just getting things done, this project is about doing tasks together, sharing knowledge, creating something meaningful, and bringing new life into a place filled with stories.

  Travellers staying in Nymfaio, one of Europe’s most beautiful and picturesque villages, will experience authentic Greek village life surrounded by stunning mountains and traditional stone houses. They can meet local residents, including my great-aunt, and learn about family traditions and everyday village life. There are also incredible opportunities to connect with nature, with a bear sanctuary right in Nymfaio and several nearby reserves for wolves, lynx, and other wildlife. Participants can help with upgrading the house, taste traditional dishes, and join in seasonal festivals. It’s a unique chance to explore the culture, history, and natural surroundings of this special region.

  We are looking for reliable, hands-on helpers who enjoy contributing to everyday life around the house and garden. The help is practical, varied and part of a shared daily routine in a rural environment.
  
  This place is well suited for independent, mindful people who like to support ongoing projects and general upkeep at a calm, human pace.

  Accommodation

  You will stay in one of our two double rooms (see photos).
  All groceries are provided, so everyone can prepare their own meals independently, and we can also cook together from time to time. If we’re lucky, my mother is around occasionally and may cook some typical Greek dishes for us.

  What else ...

  There are many things to do in the area, such as discovering the village itself, visiting a bear sanctuary right in Nymfaio and several nearby reserves for wolves, lynx, and other wildlife, tasting Greek cuisine, spending time in the local cafés, visiting the bear sanctuary, going hiking and exploring the surrounding villages at the foot of the mountain.
