  Ahoy,
  we have been living for more than 20 years on the edge of the Lüneburg Heather, one of the most famous natural preserve areas in Germany. During summer months there are busy times in our house with a large garden. I run a popular canoe rental and especially between May and September there are many people who want to be outside and active in beautiful nature.
  
  Two cats are living here: The black cat (Tinka) rather smart and very ladylike. The Tiger one (Pipo) is - I have to admit - very "simple minded" but also very cute.
  Now we have a little space for one or two people, who want to spend some time in a place, where you can explore nature but also dig into big city life. We are about 20 km from Lüneburg. Lünebugers claim that this is the most beautiful city in the world. And we think they're right. Hamburg (Germanys second largest City) is about 40 minutes away by car. If you have a driver's license, you are welcome to use our car, if it is available. You only pay gasoline then. In our region there are all kinds of leisure opportunities in nature. We also have bicycles, kayaks and - off course- canoes and kayaks.
  
  We also operate a canoe rental. Especially in the summer months we could therefore use any help that helps to support us: cooking, shopping, cleaning up, gardening and general maintenance. Speaking of cooking: we love good food....
  
  If you need a bit of money, you can also help with canoe rentals. The season for canoe rental is from may to september. Of course we explain that exactly. Therefore it would be an advantage if you could speak german. But that is not a requirement. For earning some money in the canoe rental it would be necessary to have an international driver´s license and preferably some driving experience. And, if you are interested in helping in the canoe rental, it makes sense if our guest stays with us a little longer than two or three weeks. Just to mention it here clearly: Work in canoe rental is an extra opportunitiy and does not replace the usual contribution to everyday life. It requires physical strength and willingness to reliable cooperation. We are paying at least the current minimum wage in our country. Accomodation of course will be free.
  
  Workaway working hours are completely flexible here. However, I want someone I can rely on when we have made agreements. I would be happy to welcome someone who is open and uncomplicated and can integrate into everyday life. I appreciate a lot an independent character, who sees what has to be done in the house or garden.
  
  In addition to German, I speak fluent English and fairly fluent French - but that with many mistakes.... . In the summer months I won't have much time to personally show the area. But we have great tips and are available to you with advice and action. Do not hesitate to ask us for more information.

  seit 20 Jahren wohnen wir am Rande der Lüneburger Heide in einem Haus mit einem großen Garten. Bei mir leben zwei Katzen: Die eine ist sehr schlau und "ladylike", die andere ist eher sehr "einfach" aber supersüß.
  Jetzt habe ich ein bisschen Platz für ein oder 2 Personen, die einige Zeit bei uns verbringen möchten. Wir sind ca. 20 km von Lüneburg entfernt. Lünebuger behaupten, dass das die schönste Stadt der Welt ist. Und wir finden, sie haben Recht. Hamburg ist ca. 40 Autominuten entfernt. Wer einen Führerschein hat, kann gern unser Auto benutzen, wenn es zur Verfügung steht. In unserer Region gibt es allerhand Freizeitmöglichkeiten in der Natur. Wir haben auch Fahrräder, Kajaks und Kanus.
  Außerdem betreiben wir einen Kanuverleih. Insbesondere in den Sommermonaten könnten wir daher jede Hilfe gebrauchen, die uns etwas den Rücken freihält: Kochen, Einkaufen, Aufräumen, Gartenarbeit und alles, was so anfällt. Apropos Kochen: Wir lieben gutes Essen. ...
  Wer ein bisschen Geld braucht, kann bei uns auch im Kanuverleih mithelfen. Die Saison geht von Mai bis September. Natürlich erkären wir das genau. Dafür wäre es natürlich von Vorteil, wenn man etwas deutsch sprechen könnte. Das ist aber keine Bedingung. Auf jeden Fall wäre dafür ein Führerschein Voraussetzung und idealerweise ein bisschen Fahrerfahrung. Aber dafür macht es natürlich Sinn, wenn unser Gast auch etwas länger bei uns bleibt als zwei Wochen. Wir bezahlen mindestens den gültigen Mindestlohn in Deutschland. Die Unterkunft wird selbstverständlich kostenlos gestellt.
  
  Die Arbeitszeiten sind bei uns komplett flexibel. Wir wünschen uns allerdings jemanden, auf den man sich verlassen kann, wenn man Absprachen getroffen hat. Wir würden uns freuen, jemand bei uns aufzunehmen, der offen und unkompliziert ist und sich ganz normal in den Alltag integrieren kann.
  Wir sprechen neben deutsch auch fließend englisch und ziemlich fließend französisch. In den Sommermonaten werden wir nicht viel Zeit haben, persönlich die Umgebung zu zeigen. Aber wir haben tolle Tipps und stehen Euch mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung.

  You get your own furnished room about 16 square meters on the first floor. You share the bathroom. You can of course go to the fridge and eat what's there. If possible, we look forward to meals together but this will not be possible every day due to our canoe rental where you never know what happens....
  
  Du bekommst Dein eigenes, möbliertes Zimmer ca. 16 Quadratmeter in der ersten Etage. Das Bad teilst Du mit anderen. Du kannst selbstverständlich an den Kühlschrank gehen und essen, was da ist. Wenn möglich, dann freuen wir uns auch über gemeinsame Mahlzeiten, auch wenn das im Kanugeschäft manchmal schwierig ist, weil man nie weiß, was passiert.

  We live exactly opposite a landscape protection area. You walk across a small street and you can start hiking or jogging right away. If you like, you can use our boat for kayaking tours. A friend of ours will surely take you on a lama trekking tour, if you help him a bit in easy tasks.
  The Lüneburg Heather is one of the largest nature reserves in Germany. By bike you are in 3 km in the next town with shops. By bus to Germanys most beautiful city Lüneburg in 30 minutes. With one of our cars it only takes 15 minutes. Hamburg is the 2nd largest city in Germany and offers an incredible number of sights.
  
  Wir wohnen genau gegenüber eines Landschaftsschutzgebietes. Du gehtst über eine kleine Straße und kanst sofort loswandern oder joggen. Wenn Du magst, kannst Du unsere Boot für Kajaktouren benutzen. Ein Freund von uns nimmt Dich sicher mit auf eine Lama-Trekking Tour. Die Lüneburger Heide ist eines der größten Naturschutzgebiete in Deutschland. Mit dem Fahrrad bist du in 3 km im nächsten Ort mit Geschäften. Mit dem Bus bis Du in 30 Minuten in Lüneburg. Mit einem unserer Autos dauerts nur 15 Minuten. Hamburg ist die 2. größte Stadt Deutschlands und bietet unglaublich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten.
