    Description

    Hi there my dear workawayer!
Over the past years I have made great experiences through workaway. From meeting wonderful people to having unforgetable adventures - mostly as a volunteer myself. Now it's the other way around and I welcome you in swedish lapland!

My name is Chris, and I could really use some help here in northern Sweden! 😊
I live in a house in the countryside of swedish Lapland, right next to the beautiful Vindel River. For the upcoming summer I have quite a lot of things I want to get done and therefore I could really need some help. It is all about work around the house and the cabin. From gardening, cleaning, helping guests and some renovating - you name it.

    Who am I?
I’m an 35 year old, open-minded and spontaneous person who loves meeting people, learning from one another and building real connections.
Together with my ex-wife, I moved to Sweden in 2018 as a young family when our daughter was just two months old. Before that, we traveled to Canada and the USA, hitchhiking through different states and meeting the most wonderful people along the way.

I have a strong desire for adventure and doing unconventional things. At the same time, I’m a responsible father who knows what risks he can take.

I like having deep conversations about life and hearing other people’s stories. To me, it's important to be able to express one’s feelings so that both sides understand what’s going on inside. 😊
That being said you should be able to do the same when requesting a stay.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You will get an up-close look at Swedish culture. I hope we can both learn from each other - whether it's about specific skills, a language, or life in general.

During free time we can explore our surroundings, go canoeing, hiking, fishing and do wildlife photography. I am up for almost anything so feel free to ask me.

The farm is located 35 km from the town of Lycksele, Västerbotten. You can come by bus, train, airplane, car, bicycle or I come and pick you up somewhere.

There are bicycles at the farm that you can borrow to explore the area.

We have a beautiful forest, lakes and the river to explore.

If you're into wildlife photography, going out late at night while sun is still visible during midsummer to look for moose, bears, or owls could be an exciting experience - though we would have to be suuuper lucky to see a bear ;)

Snowmobile, Fishing, Hiking... just tell me what you like to do and I'll tell you if it's possible or not :)
