    Description

Our place is a peaceful eco-homestay located in Hoa Binh, just 35 km from Hanoi.
We follow a rustic – green – natural – mindful lifestyle.
    Our space has:
    • A small organic garden
    • Valley views
    • Cozy bungalows
    • Many handmade decorations
    • A quiet atmosphere perfect for creativity & nature lovers

We host volunteers who enjoy nature, gardening, simple DIY, and helping create a beautiful living space.

We prefer welcoming a pair of two volunteers rather than a single person. We are located on a quiet hill, and having a companion often makes the experience more enjoyable and comforting — especially since you will have the entire place to yourselves most of the time.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You’ll help alongside our local ethnic staff, whose families have been farmers and foresters for generations.

They will share traditional ways of gardening, using local plants, and working with natural materials.

You’ll also get to interact with our homestay guests — young Vietnamese professionals who love nature, creativity, and slow living.

Many enjoy chatting, sharing travel stories, cooking together, or joining small activities around the garden.

This mix of local knowledge and modern Vietnamese perspectives creates a warm, balanced cultural exchange.

  • Help

    Help

Help here is flexible and based on your strengths. What matters most is having someone who can help us maintain the warm, cozy atmosphere of our homestay.

Below are some daily tasks you may help with:

🌿 1. Gardening (daily, easy tasks)
    • Watering plants
    • Weeding light areas
    • Planting herbs / small trees
    • Maintaining small garden corners

    🌸 2. Decoration (creative tasks)
    • Arranging flowers
    • Styling spaces for photos
    • Seasonal décor (Christmas, Tet, Mid-autumn)
    • Helping create cozy corners around the homestay

    🔨 3. Carpentry / Woodcraft (NEW – optional)

If you enjoy working with wood, we have small DIY projects such as:
    • Making simple wooden toys
    • Creating rustic décor items
    • Repairing or refreshing wooden paths or signs
    • Small shelves, plant stands, wooden frames
    • Sanding, oiling, and maintaining outdoor wooden furniture

No need to be a professional — just basic skills and willingness to learn are enough.

We have basic tools available (hand saw, drill, sanding tools, natural oil, nails, etc.)

    🧹 4. Light Homestay Assistance
    • Tidying shared spaces
    • Sweeping outdoor areas
    • Helping prepare simple setups for guests

    5. 📸 Social Media Help

We also welcome volunteers who enjoy content creation:
    • Taking photos or short videos of nature, homestay life, gardening, slow-living moments
    • Simple editing (phone apps are fine!)
    • Helping us write short captions or ideas in English
    • Creating small reels/TikTok clips about daily life
    • Documenting gardening progress or décor projects

➡️ You don’t need to be a professional creator — just someone with a good eye and love for aesthetics.

🍀 Living Situation & Weekends here

Our family and staff do not live at the homestay, so most of the time you will have the entire space to yourself. It’s a peaceful, quiet environment where you can relax, create, or work on your own projects during the week.

Since the homestay is mainly a weekend retreat, we tend to get busier from Friday to Sunday and may need a bit more help during those days. Please also note that our traditional wooden stilt house is not fully soundproof, so you might hear more activity when guests are around.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility — and we hope you enjoy the calm, spacious atmosphere here.

    🚌 Transport

From Hanoi, take a local bus to Xuan Mai or Chuc Son (12 km from here), then take a taxi here.

You can also come by taxi or motorbike, around 1–1.5 hours from the city.
