Hello, my name is Gloria. I am starting a small new Hostel in Guatape, Antioquia Colombia. Our house has been converted into a new hostel and we are looking for a volunteer to help with our new family project. You will be welcome like family into our home and have the opportunity to explore and enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Colombia with a family who knows all of the hidden gems of the región.
PLEASE NOTE: We will only accept volunteers with at least an intermediate level of Spanish, as we only speak Spanish, and who are ready to bring their passion and positivity to our home. You need to be creative and ready to contribute to the many ways our budding hostel might need you!

As a volunteer, you will be in one of the most beautiful places in all of Colombia. You will be helping a local family with a completely new project and your creativity will be welcome. Also, you will be staying with a wonderful family that will welcome you wholeheartedly into the Colombian culture, teach you about the área, tell you all of the hidden secrets, introduce you to amazing Colombian food and help you with your Spanish.
Help
We need a volunteer who has knowledge in the artisan construction in Guadua, to develop a project inside the hostel. We want to build a kiosk, meditation weaves, a pyramid in guadua and a dome.

Accommodation
Depending on what the volunteer would like, or be comfortable with. We can offer a pull out sofá/bed inside of the house or if there are not reservations, one of the beds in the dorm room will be available. Right now we are looking for help 4 days a week for five hours a day. We need the volunteer to be flexible for days volunteered and days off.
What else ...
You can explore beautiful Guatape and the surrounding área in your time off. There is hiking, climb El Peñol, biking, boating, fishing, zipline, helicopter tours, bars, Salsa dancing, restaurants, ecotourism, swimming, lakes, rivers, mountains and much more. Medellin is about an hour and 45 minutes away by bus!
