Description
We are a family living in Tutukaka. Children are 8, 7 and 4 years old; we are homeschooling, so they don't go to school. David, who is from Glasgow, works full time in Whangarei and Silvia, from Madrid, is a full time mum. Silvia lived in Argentina for a while and enjoys drinking mate daily. We are looking for somebody or a couple who is from a Spanish speaking country as my children are bilingual: We'd like you to speak to our children in Spanish only. If you'd like to learn English, David would be happy to talk to you in English in the evenings. We'd like you to help us with the children in their daily activities: reading books to them, going for nature walks, playing cards and board games, origami, Lego... Basically playing with them and engage with them. Children don't watch TV or play with video games: they are screen free and adults in the house don't use their screens in front of the children to set an example. There would also be some housework to do and a little bit of work around garden. We have a lovely home in Tutukaka and you will have a double room to yourself with sharing bathroom with the children. You are welcome to share family meals with us and we are flexible about working hours: we are happy to reach arrangements that would suit both parties. We prefer stays of a minimum of 1 week or longer but we are open to consider shorter stays. Looking forward to hearing from you. Gracias, hasta pronto!

Living in Tutukaka is a great opportunity to know Northland. We are active members of our community, participating in local sports like surfing, sailing, kayaking and tennis, you are welcome to join us. We know the area very well and we'll share our knowledge with you.

We live in the bush, 7 minutes walking distance from 2 local beaches. Activities in the area are: coastal walks and watersports. We are 30 minutes from Whangarei where you have all the services a city has to offer. We go daily to Whangarei so you can get a lift with us.

The house is nice and the views from there are really beautiful. Tutukaka area is amazing and you can go to several beaches and tracks, the family is going to teach you a lot about the animals and plants.
