Description
This is a family organic farming project. We have a small production of vegetables, some trees and aloe vera. We also have strawberries, an aquapony system and a small composting plant for self-sufficiency. The farm measures one hectare and we work and live on it. We use solar energy and reuse organic waste and water.
The accommodation we have for our guests is a small caravan for pick up and share the bathroom with us.
Somos una familia de cuatro personas, que vivimos en una finca ecológica en la zona norte de fuerteventura, a 10 minutos a pie del pueblo de El Cotillo.
Es un proyecto familiar de agricultura ecológica. Tenemos una pequeña producción de hortalizas, algunos árboles y aloe vera. También un fresal, un sistema de acuaponía y una pequeña planta de compostaje para autoabastecernos. La finca mide una hectárea y en ella trabajamos y vivimos. Nos abastecemos con energía solar y reutilizamos los resíduos orgánicos y el agua.

Nous sommes une famille de quatre personnes, vivant dans une ferme biologique au nord de Fuerteventura. A 10 minutes à pied du village d'El Cotillo.

Nous avons aussi des fraises, un système d'aquaponie et une petite usine de compostage pour l'autosuffisance. La ferme mesure un hectare et nous y travaillons et y vivons. Nous utilisons l'énergie solaire et réutilisons les déchets organiques et l'eau.
L'hébergement que nous avons pour nos hôtes est une petite caravane pour pick up et partager la salle de bain avec nous.

Our farm is located in the north of Fuerteventura, a great place to enjoy the sea and water sports. We have been practising organic farming for over 15 years. In a place that looks like a desert, we have managed to create a fertile soil in which almost all the vegetables grow. We also have an aloe vera crop and a place where we make our compost in a semi-industrial way. We are trying to improve every day to achieve self-sufficiency. Our electrical energy comes from the sun and the wind, we have an electric car and we want to put a biodigester to cook. We can teach our guests anything they want to know about any of these topics.
Nuestra finca está situada en el norte de Fuerteventura, un lugar estupendo para disfrutar del mar y de los deportes de agua. Practicamos la agricultura ecológica desde hace más de 15 años. En un lugar que parece un desierto, hemos conseguido crear un suelo fértil en el que crecen casi todas las hortalizas. También tenemos un cultivo de aloe vera y un lugar donde hacemos nuestro compost de forma semiindustrial. Estamos intentando mejorar cada día para conseguir el autoabastecimiento. Nuestra energía eléctrica viene del sol y del viento, tenemos un coche eléctrico y queremos poner un biodigestor para poder cocinar. Podemos enseñar a nuestros invitados todo lo que quieran saber de cualquiera de estos temas.

Help
We need help to finish our green building house. It is made with mud walls that need to be covered with lime and has a wooden roof that we need to finish. Also to make fences, pallet structures and maintenance work.
Right now we are going to start preparing our next vegetable garden, which is physically quite hard work, which we will combine with the daily maintenance work of the existing crops.
Necesitamos ayuda para terminar nuestra casa de bioconstrucción. Está hecha con muros de barro que es necesario cubrir de cal y tiene un techo de madera que necesitamos terminar. También para hacer vallados, estructuras de palet y trabajos de mantenimiento.
En este momento vamos a empezar a preparar nuestra próxima huerta, es un trabajo físicamente bastante duro, que combinaremos con el trabajo de mantenimiento cotidiano de los cultivos ya existentes.

Accommodation
The accommodation for our visitors is in a small pick-up caravan outside our house and a tent. We have an outside bathroom and a kitchen, both made of pallets, for volunteers which we use on an ad hoc basis. We need people who know how to keep the common areas clean and tidy and are careful with the accommodation.
El alojamiento para nuestros visitantes en una pequeña caravana para pick up que está por fuera de nuestra casa y una tienda de campaña. Tenemos un cuarto de baño exterior y una cocina, ambos hechos de palets, para los voluntarios que usamos nosotros de manera puntual. Necesitamos personas que sepan mantener limpias y ordenadas las zonas comunes y sean cuidadosas con las instalaciones.
What else ...
In our area free time is usually spent at sea. There are many surf schools and other water sports nearby. We are 10 minutes walk from El Cotillo bus station, but there is no bus very often. We have a bike for our guests. We need independent people who know how to take care of themselves. We prefer non-smokers.
En nuestra zona el tiempo libre se suele pasar en el mar. Hay muchas escuelas de surf y otros deportes náuticos cerca. Estamos a 10 minutos a pie de la estación de bus de El Cotillo, pero no hay bus muy a menudo. Tenemos una bici para nuestros invitados. Necesitamos personas independientes, que sepan cuidar de sí mismas. Preferimos no fumadores.
