Description
We are a family of 4 ( Inigo and Nora with our two kids Selva (3) and Lovis (0)) and two dogs. We, the parents, met in a work away in Belgium and three years ago we bought an old stone house in the north Italian mountains. Since then we are very slowly rebuilding it. With two children it seems to be an impossible task so we would be very grateful for some help.
We live in the beautiful cervo valley close to Biella, but currently in an apartment down of the mountain. When the house is finished we will move up. There are already several young families living on our mountain which who we do many things together and who also host volunteers sometimes.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
We will need help with rebuilding the house which includes things like putting cob on the walls or easy wood work.
We also have a small vegetable garden and a big area with fruit trees and bushes that need care. If you are interested we can teach you scything.
If you like to play with children, it's also really appreciated help.Languages spoken

We offer very basic accommodation so you should be fine with camping.
We live ourselves in an apartment but unfortunately it's too small to share it with volunteers.
So you will be sleeping at our house either in a tent or in a real bed inside the house (which doesn't have windows yet), just as you prefy. There is a compost toilet which you have to take care of emptying yourself and there is no shower or hot water. For that you will have to come to our apartment or use the opportunity of a finish sauna at our friend's place very close by. If it's warm enough there is also a beautiful river to take baths in.
For cooking we have a gasstove and kitchen equipment. There will be partly organic and partly non organic food.
A fridge works with electricity from our solar panels.
Since we don't sleep there at the moment you should be very independent and happy with staying alone ( only in case you don't come with a friend or partner).
There is also only a hiking path that arrives to our house, so you should have strong legs. What else ...
We would like people to be independent and nature loving. You should be able to clean up behind yourself and not leave any rubbish around.
You are free to eat whatever you want but please don't eat sugar and bread in front of the kids. The older one will want to have it and we try to give as little as possible.
Smoking is absolutely not wanted.
Since you will be using a compost toilet you shouldn't be taking any medication, since this would end up in our soil.
It would also be good if you are not addicted to your phone.
In your free time you can go hiking or swim in the river.
If you like to go to bigger towns there are buses and the connection is not too bad.A little more information
