Description
Dear Workawayer
I am excited to welcome you into our family! My name is Omar, a 30-year-old single father currently working out of the country. My 3-year-old son is a wonderful, curious, and lively child who currently lives with his grandmother and auntie in our home in a lovely area of Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
A bit about me: I’ve had the privilege of traveling the world since 2013, attending school in the USA and Hong Kong, and even working as an au pair in China. Since bringing my son into my care last year, I’ve taken time off work to focus on him, but it’s time for me to return to my career. This is why I’m looking for a warm, responsible, and caring person to join us.
Your role will be to support my son’s daily routine—waking up with him, taking him on walks, playing, feeding him, and occasionally going to the beach, which is just a 15-minute walk from our home. My parents are always around to assist if needed, so you’ll have plenty of support.
Our home is a welcoming place, and you’ll have access to 3 meals or even more, mi casa is tu casa so feel free to use the kitchen whenever you need and receive pocket money to make your stay comfortable. If everything goes well, I’m happy to assist with your flight ticket at the end of your stay. While it’s not required, you’ll also have the chance to learn Arabic through interactions with my son, as I speak to him in classical Arabic. However, English is perfectly fine for daily communication.
I hope this gives you a glimpse into our family and the role. We are excited to meet someone who will not only care for my son but also become part of our family during your time with us.
Looking forward to connecting!
Warm regards,
OmarTypes of help and learning opportunities

You’ll enjoy cooking traditional dishes like tagine and couscous with us, exploring local markets, and learning about Moroccan history at landmarks like the Kasbah of the Udayas. I speak classical Arabic with my son, so you’ll have the chance to pick up the language if you’d like, though it’s not required.
We’re excited to share stories from our travels and learn about your culture, language, and traditions. My parents and sister are also here to make you feel at home and offer support. Together, we’ll create a meaningful and enjoyable cultural exchange!Help
