Description
Help Wanted: Help from an experienced gardener for a Creative Retreat in Southwest France
Dates: Last week of August – early October | Duration: 2–4 weeks
For the past 14 years, we have proudly hosted celebrated residential creative workshops at our venue in the beautiful French countryside. This summer, we are supporting two small, non-profit musical events designed to showcase and promote talented young musicians. We are looking for one or two enthusiastic helpers with some gardening experience to join us for 2 to 4 weeks. Your main focus will be our extensive gardens: clearing, weeding, pruning, and helping us get the outdoor spaces looking their best for our events and workshops.
We offer: Comfortable self-catering accommodation in our venue and the occasional meal, plus 12€ per hour for 15/20 hours a week work.
Who we are looking for: Someone friendly, flexible, and happy to be part of a small, welcoming team, able to commit for at least 2 weeks, but hopefully longer. Obviously someone who enjoys working outdoors, whatever the weather and has experience gardening and closing down a garden for the winter.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine meaningful, hands-on work with the chance to experience a lively, artistic environment in a stunning part of France.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our gardens were planted by us and are now full of rare and unusual plants. We are situated in the very heart of the Dordogne with many historic towns and villages with their beautiful and lively markets, music and traditions. Our closest village, Verteillac - about a 15 min walk from us - is the liveliest in the area with several cafes, a boulangerie, post office and general store. Driving license and own car recommended if you want to get to know the area as there is no public transport. Bicycles available.
