Help with gardening in a beautiful historical home located in Verteillac, France

  Description

  Currently my husband and I occupy our Maison de Maitre - We have organised and hosted celebrated residential creative workshops at our venue for the last 14 years and will be hosting a few events this summer. We are looking for someone who knows about gardening to work on our extensive garden, clearing, weeding and pruning for a couple of weeks. We can offer accommodation and pocket money and the occasional meal

  Our gardens were planted by us and are now full of rare and unusual plants. We are situated in the very heart of the Dordogne with many historic towns and villages with their beautiful and lively markets, music and traditions. Our closest village, Verteillac - about a 15 min walk from us - is the liveliest in the area with several cafes, a boulangerie, post office and general store. Driving license recommended if you want to get to know the area as there is no public transport. Bicycles available.

  Own bedroom and bathroom; use of kitchen. Use of pool. We cannot pay a regular wage, but accommodation etc is offered and a contribution towards the cost of food and pocket money.

  Famously beautiful venue in S W France full of history. Access to car if full driving licence available, swimming pool bicycles and all mod cons. Opportunity to visit local historic sites, go rock climbing, trekking, relax in the gardens or go for long walks. We often have have family and friends staying over the summer months and will be hosting a small world musical event at the beginning of September.
