Our place is a very special spot in the wilds of south west Scotland. We live on a magical small holding with woodland, rivers and pasture. We are a permaculture land centre and work with hugel beds and donkies, provide a space for forest schools and practice regenerative agriculture.
I'm obsessed with forest gardening and plants. We do a lot of gardening, harvesting and preserving all with a permaculture bent.
My partner makes cargo bikes and is often Involved in bigger art projects. He is driven by self empowerment through skills and tool use. Whilst we are rural we have lots of amazing visitors and plenty of stimulation. Last year we have secured funding to build a childrens food forest, with a compost loo, passive solar green house and a timber framed shelter. We are now putting them to use. It's a big experiment.
Our neighbours also practice permaculture and have volunteers. together we form a fascinating cluster living community.
longer term volunteers have a gorgeous expedition truck or our incredible 1950s vintage caravan.
