    Description

URGENTE: Necesitamos un chef vegetariano o personas que quieran aprender a cocinar saludable y consciente.
    -------
Covid-19 rules: in our community we have contact with elderly and delicate people so it is really important that we take precautions. We internally agreed that we do not leave the community unless necessary, we only move around by bike, we do not use public transport and taxi only if there is absolutely no other chance. So come prepared with the mindset that you are coming to an ashram, and not to a place for going out, doing sightseeing, meeting people in town etc.etc. you come to take advantega of the peacefulness of our gardens and nature, to meditate and reflect in your spare time, not to make party.

More than an ecological community, we are a school to learn how to live and a shamanic Ashram, an opportunity to experiment the community life inspired by the ancient wisdoms. It was found on September 20 of 1990 by an ecological quechuan leader and author. He wrote more than sixty-seven books and imparted conferences in more than 1300 cities within the five continents. In the community an intense educational activity is being realised, therapeutically and culturally and with the objective of creating a critical attitude and an ecological conscience.

At the moment the leader is travelling to different continents until the end of the year and the ashram activity is put to a hold, as we are preparing the installations for the big reopening in 2020. So right now we are just small team of 10 people living here, we are students of the spiritual leader who trains us to later pass on his wisdom. So if you got curious about us you are very welcome to help us with the preparations for our reopening! Every helping hand means a lot to us and makes a difference for our goal to change the world by changing consciousnesses.

We don't receive any financial help from any institution it maintains itself partially by its educational activities and it is financed by its founder. We are not a religious institution, nor do we have any affiliation with any religion, we don't have dogmas, we are not a spiritual group either, everyone is free to believe whatever he/she decides to. Our philosophy of life is based on the ancient indigenous wisdoms.
Our principles are based on reinstalling the sacred relations with Pachamama, achieving a balance in the ecosystem via healthy and organic alimentation, meditation, reflection and observation of ourselves, in other words, via the precaution and respect for nature, which you are part of as well.

For us, living in community doesn't mean that we do everything together, nor being with other people all the time; we are a multiple team in the hours of service, where the individuals can be alone, two by two or in a group, based on the common need. For us living in community doesn't mean being together all the time, it's about exploring relations and learning from interaction as well as learn to be in solitude.
We don't support nor allow the consumption of tobacco, cannabis, alcohol or any other psychoactive substance.

We are located in Marquina, Cochabamba, Bolivia, close to the thermal waters of Liriuni and the mountain of Tunari.

We prefer people to stay for several weeks.

You should understand and speak basic Spanish and have all of the enthusiasm to share this marvelous experience with us!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

The volunteer work is an excellent opportunity to experiment muliculturality and learn to be world citizens via sharing with people from all different kind of countries of the world and learn to share and value the differences through the community service. So our intention is to combine the community service with personal growth.

Develop your conscience, meditate in our gardens, observe the magnificient hummingbirds and connect with Mother Earth, as well as your body and soul.
Use the opportunity to disconnect from social media pollution with our limited internet hours!
Enjoy a natural environment made up of the singing of the birds, frogs and more than 60 species of plants and trees.
You can borrow books about our filosophy of life to learn more about it and to boost your personal growth and encourage your inner work.

You are welcome to join us at our daily shamanic meditations and some of our activities which are part of the school to learn how to live (note that some of those activities have an additional fee of 5 dollars for volunteers, eg.: yoga, belly dance and 2-hour seminars on different topics for 10 dollars). ATTENTION: Due to Covid-19 and biosecurity measures volunteers can not participate in all the activities until after staying for a minimum of 2 weeks without leaving the community.

On your free day you can visit the tourist attractions that are located in the area, like the thermal waters of Liriuni, go up the Tunari mountain, visit the traditional markets, etc.

    ------
In general, we prefer volunteers who want to stay 4 weeks, but if you have some of the above special knowledge we can talk about a shorter stay
    ------
Other than that we have a lot of things to do every day. We like to improve ourselves every day and beautify our environment, just like beautifying our lives and ourselves.
Being a volunteer means helping to achieve a common objective and grow with the experience of giving one’s best in every moment. So we need you to help with:

Gardening/Farmwork (this can be physically challenging work)
    General maintenance
    Cleaning

    For experienced people only:
    Artistic Painting
    Translation
    Marketing in Social Media
    Video editing
    Computers/ Internet
    Filming/ fotograpraphy
    Graphic design

Doing our inner work at all times and in all situations is very important to us. Therefore, we hope for responsible people, who are engaged and mature. People, who are not only looking for a cheap bed to sleep, but who are also willing to give back their volunteer service in exchange, people who value and respect the visited places and people who see an experience and an opportunity to learn something in every place. Every volunteer should respect our rules and our way of life. When being with other people, this includes taking care of oneself, of one’s personal objects and waste products that are generated. All of us can make your stay comfortable and it will turn out as a great experience of life.
