Description
Hey Travellers,
We are a family of three from New Zealand who are living in the beautiful mountains in Japan in a place called Madarao in the Nagano prefecture. It is super pretty up here and would be a great place for someone keen on hiking and mountain biking as the trails are endless. (Almost) It is about 17 minutes on the bus to our closest town Iiyama and 1 hour 30 mins on the bullet train to Tokyo. There are loads of amazing Onsen around if you have a car if not you can bus to Nozawa Onsen town easy enough and there are some beautiful lakes in the area. Madarao itself is small with only a few restaurants open in summer so this really would be better suited to someone who loves the outdoors.
We recently decided to leave our comfort zone and follow our dreams to run a ski lodge and spend our winters riding the bountiful jap powder so currently we are doing renovations and would like some help with assisting our 7 year old with his school work. It would probably be about 3 hours a day Monday -Friday .Ideally looking for someone who would like to stick around for a month maybe more but even a couple of weeks right now would be amazing.
Immediate start is preferred. Going through till the end of October and possibly the start of November.

Our son is doing online homeschooling so Everything is pre planned and well organised he’s really good at it he just needs guidance and assistance. I love doing it so I still intend to help.
So helping with ….:
Art tasks,
Listening to reading,
Assist him with his Japanese lesson (on an appWe are all trying to learn Japanese),
Outdoor sports,
Handwriting,
Science experiments,
All of the above are generally pretty fun it’s more play.
Maths and English are the more challenging so I’ll help a lot with these.
We also try to get out and about and explore so it’s not all conventional…..
