Description
We (Dutch couple) have an in central Sweden, a "värdshuset" (hostel) with fourteen rooms. Everything is built of wood. The location is on the one side on the sometimes busy road and on the other side the hostel is located directly on the river, with about 500 meters of its own riverbank. The view is magnificent.
We have to manage in summer (June, July, August) and winter (December, Januari, Februari) 14 hotelrooms, a small restaurant and a big garden. During the winter period it is also necessary to shovel a lot of snow to keep the entrance of the hotel open.
In April and May 2026 we want to do some maintainace inside like cleaning, painting and re-organize stock. Outside also painting, wood repair buildings, split wood for the winter and also for gardening we need people.. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Discover Swedish nature and culture here. If you like, we can put you 10 kilometers upstream on the river with the canoe. Can you paddle yourself? There are also amazing beautiful hiking possiblities..
Keep in mind that Sweden is sparsely populated and the distances are great. It's important to notice that this place has no direct neighbours and the distance to the centre to the nearest small city is 7 km. There is a busstop in front of our entrance.. Be aware that this is not the place to socialize extensively, simply because there are not that many people in this part of Sweden. So you must definitely love nature and yourself (and/or your partner)..;) -
