  The farm is located in the mountain north of the Cauca Valley about 40 minutes from the city of Roldanillo. Ten years ago, we managed to acquire this piece of land in order to live and work with the family. We inherited a degraded land by decades of farming and deforestation. Since the beginning, we have been paying special attention to preserving and restoring biodiversity. We opted for coffee growing to provide economic income to the family. Taking inspiration from the principles of permaculture, we grow without chemical inputs, combining plant and tree varieties to diversify crops and move towards food self-sufficiency.
  
  For the record, Marta lived ten years in France which allowed her to save enough money to buy the land and return to live on her native land. His father Erasmo and his mother have thus freed themselves from the exploitation of agricultural labor in the hope of finding a dignified and happy life.

  Los voluntarios están completos hasta mayo. Luego Martha estará ausente por varios meses y estamos esperando la confirmación de su hermana para saber si continúa acogiendo voluntarios.
  
  La finca esta ubicada en la montana, al norte del Valle del Cauca, 40 minutos de moto por Roldanillo. Hace diez años, logramos adquirir este terreno para vivir y trabajar en familia. Heredamos una tierra degradada por décadas de agricultura y deforestación. Desde el principio, hemos prestado especial atención a la conservación y restauración de la biodiversidad. Optamos por el cultivo de café que permite ingresos económicos a la familia. Inspirándonos en los principios de la permacultura, crecemos sin insumos químicos, combinando variedades de plantas y árboles para diversificar cultivos y avanzar hacia la autosuficiencia alimentaria.
  
  Para que conste, Marta vivió diez años en Francia, lo que le permitió ahorrar suficiente dinero para comprar la tierra y volver a vivir en su tierra natal. Su padre Erasmo y su madre se han liberado así de la explotación del trabajo agrícola con la esperanza de encontrar una vida digna y feliz.

  Les volontariats sont plein jusqu'au mois de mai. Martha sera ensuite absente pendant plusieurs mois et nous attendons la confirmation de sa sœur pour savoir si elle continue d'accueillir des volontaires
  
  La finca est située dans la montagne au nord de la vallée du Cauca à environ 40mn de moto depuis la ville de Roldanillo. Il y a une dizaine d'année, nous avons réussi à acquérir cette parcelle de terre afin de vivre et de travailler en famille. Nous avons hérité d'un terrain dégradé par des décennies d'élevage et de déforestation. Nous portons donc depuis le départ, une attention particulière à la préservation et à la reconstitution de la biodiversité. Nous avons opté pour la culture du café afin d'assurer des revenus économiques à la famille. En s'inspirant des principes de la permaculture, nous cultivons sans intrants chimiques, en combinant les variétés de plantes et d'arbres pour diversifier les cultures et tendre vers l'autonomie alimentaire.
  
  Pour la petite histoire, Marta a vécu une dizaine d'années en France ce qui lui a permis d'économiser suffisamment d'argent pour acheter le terrain et revenir vivre sur ses terres natales. Son papa Erasmo, et sa maman se sont ainsi libérés de l'exploitation du travail agricole dans l'espoir de retrouver une vie digne et heureuse de paysans.

  Marta habla perfectamente francés y estará encantada de hablar con los viajeros en inglés. Abierta al mundo y a los otros, recibe regularmente voluntarios de todos los horizontes.   Marta speaks French perfectly, and will be happy to talk to travelers in English. Open to the world and others, she regularly receives volunteers from all walks of life.   Estaremos encantados de recibir voluntarios de todo el mundo para estancias cortas o largas, motivados por el deseo de compartir la vida diaria y trabajar con una familia de campesinos y cafeteros colombianos. La finca incluye más de 8000 pies de café, banano, platano, guineo, calabaza, frijoles, yuca y una variedad de árboles frutales. Esto requiere un mantenimiento diario y los refuerzos de mano de obra son bienvenidos durante los períodos de cosecha del café. Asamos el café que bebemos todos los días mezclado con agua panela. Como los ingresos de la finca siguen siendo bajos, PEDIMOS A TODOS LOS VOLUNTARIOS que traigan algunos alimentos con motivo de su venida. Le daremos una pequeña lista de productos para comprar en Roldanillo, y todos pueden contribuir a sus medios.
  
  We would be delighted to welcome volunteers from all over the world for short or long stays motivated by the desire to share daily life and work with a family of Colombian peasants and coffee growers. The farm includes over 8000 feet of coffee, banana, platanos, guineo, squash, beans, cassava and a variety of fruit trees. This requires daily maintenance and reinforcements of labor are welcome during the coffee harvesting periods. We roast and muss the coffee we drink every day mixed with panela on the farm. As the income from the farm is still low, WE ASK EVERY VOLUNTARY to bring some foodstuffs on the occasion of his coming. We will give you a small list of products to buy in Roldanillo, and everyone can contribute to their means.
  
  Nous serions ravi d'accueillir pour des séjours de courtes ou de longues durées, des volontaires du monde entier motivés par le désir de partager le quotidien et le travail avec une famille de paysans colombiens, cultivateurs de café. L'exploitation comprend plus de 8000 pieds de café, des cultures de bananes, platanos, guineo, courges, haricots, manioc et un éventail d'arbres fruitiers. Cela requiert un entretien quotidien et les renforts de main d’œuvre sont bienvenus pendant les périodes de récoltes du café. Nous torréfions et nous moulons à la ferme le café que nous buvons tous les jours mélangé à de la panela. Comme les revenus de la ferme sont encore faibles, NOUS DEMANDONS A CHAQUE VOLONTAIRE d'apporter quelques denrées alimentaires à l'occasion de sa venue. Nous vous communiquerons une petite liste de produits à acheter à Roldanillo, et chacun pourra contribuer à hauteur de ses moyens.

  Accommodation

  Podremos alojar ustedes en un anexo cercano a la casa. Esta gran cabana construida con materiales naturales por el padre de Marta tiene dos dormitorios y varias camas cómodas. La decoración es rústica, pero pasarás noches dulces acurrucadas por los sonidos de la montaña y te despertará cada mañana con el canto de los colibríes. Para las instalaciones sanitarias, la finca cuenta con baños secos y una ducha refrescante.
  
  You can stay in an annex close to the house. This large hut built from natural materials by the father of Marta has two bedrooms and several comfortable beds. The decor is rustic, but you will spend sweet nights cradled by the sounds of the mountain and you will be woken every morning by the singing of hummingbirds. For sanitary facilities the farm has dry toilets and a refreshing shower.
  
  Each day we prepare the food for all the family and volunteers. We eat mainly fruits and vegetables from the farm : banana, potatoes, yuca, chayotte, beens, rice, eggs. Comida campecina. Each week we bought a little bit of meat, chicken from the farm around. We take a breakfast on the morning, a lunch at midday and the dinner when the sun sets.
  
  Farm food with vegetables (beens, potatoes, yuca, chayotte, platanos...), fruits, rice, eggs and some meat or chicken each week. We prepare for all the family and volunteers, a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner. All the day there is free coffee or chocolate.
  
  Vous pourrez loger dans une annexe à deux pas de la maison. Cette grande cabane construite à partir de matériaux naturels par le père de Marta comporte deux chambres et plusieurs lits confortables. Le décor est rustique, mais vous passerez de douces nuits bercées par les bruits de la montagne et vous serez réveillées chaque matin par le chant des colibris. Pour les sanitaires la ferme dispose de toilettes sèches et d'une douche rafraîchissante.

  La finca no dispone de conexión wifi. Sin embargo, la red móvil está disponible a baja intensidad. Puede comunicarse fácilmente con Marta por mensajes en Whatsapp.
