    Description

    Hola bienvenidos!

    -A little bit about us:
We started as a vision that is possible living a sustainable life and that it can be done with style!
Around 4 years ago the project began to be built with materials like guadua (Colombian Bamboo), local clay, sustainable wood and local palm. Right now (2022) we have a beautiful paradise in the middle of the jungle with natural pools, ponds, permaculture gardens, a big river side yoga shala, spa and a plant based restaurant. We use solar panels, use a hydro pump, recycle all the grey water, and we do many more thing to be as sustainable as possible.

We are located on an amazing piece of land on a beautiful river in the jungle of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. 10 minutes from the local town Guachaca and main road, and 20 minutes from many beautiful Caribbean beaches. Also we are located 15 minutes driving from Tayrona Park and 10 minutes from the entrance of Lost City.

    -For who are we looking?
We are looking for someone who is interested in a cultural exchange by:

    1. Teaching English to our staff (even better if you are a certified English teacher!)

    2. Yoga Teacher (nice to have experience with Ancestral Ceremonies like cacao ceremony or temazcal, Energetic Therapies like using crystals, sacred instruments, herbs, fire, or the word to cleanse your aura)

    -What we offer:
Volunteering with us means free accommodation in a private cabin with shared bathroom and shared kitchen, it includes 2 vegan meals a day, free use of the staff kitchen for plant based food, use of the natural pools, yoga shala, river and all facilities. In exchange of working 5 days a week, around 5 hours a day.
On your days off you are free to go anywhere. We have a very quiet atmosphere and have a lot of respect for nature and don't allow loud music and noise.

    DATES VOLUNTEERING: minimum 3 weeks

    -Around us:

On the 1,5 hectares of land you find an incredible amount of tropical fruits like lots of banana and platano, avocado, mango, pineapple, papaya, yuca, lemon, guayabaya and much more. You will also experience the wildlife, like lots of hemmingbirds, toucans, butterflies, squirrels, iguanas, Iizards, many colorful birds and some crazy jungle insects and sometimes even armadillos or monkeys!

In the area there is a lot to do. There is a beautiful white beach on the river, 5 minutes walking from the land. The carribean coast *where you can surf is a 15 minutes drive on a mototaxi (the famous Costeno beach is really close by!) Other things you can do: hike in 40 min to a beautiful waterfall, go to Tyrona park (20 minutes drive), go to the famous hostel El Rio where you can do river tubing (15 minutes drive) and the start of the Lost City track is also near by.

Santa Marta is 1h 30 min away. There are busses going all day from and to Santa Marta (Mercado) along the coast and back and stops in our town Guachaca. From there it's a 20 minutes walk up the river (left side of the river, uphill) or you can take a motortaxi, ask for Yay or Finca Kelly (5 minutes drive)
