    Description

    Hi there!

We’re looking for 2–3 friendly and reliable Workawayers to help out at our beautiful baroque estate in the Szczecin Lagoon Nature Park, located in the northern Uckermark, northeastern Germany. It’s a peaceful, remote place surrounded by nature, history, and possibility.

🛠️ Areas Where We Need Help

🍽️ Bistro & Café (Friday to Sunday)

We run a small weekend bistro and café and could use support with:

+ Preparing and serving pizza flambée, cakes, and drinks
+ Cleaning and general service tasks
+ Occasional help with breakfast or special events
+ Cooking lunch for the team on weekdays (optional)

Ideally, you have some experience in service or kitchen work, love food, and are friendly and communicative.

    Guesthouse (8 Rooms)

    We need help with:
+ Cleaning rooms and preparing beds
    + Doing laundry

    Construction Work

We’re currently rebuilding our horse stables. Tasks include:
    + Demolition and construction
    + Carrying materials
    + Building fences

This is physical work — great if you like working with your hands and seeing visible results!

    Cidery (September–October)

We run a small apple juice press (Mosterei) during harvest season. You’ll help with:
+ Processing apples from local orchards
+ Bottling juice and cleaning equipment

Experience is helpful but not required — strength and stamina are important.

    Horses (from September)

Our 8 warmblood horses (from foal to 22 years old) move to the estate in late August. From September onward, we need help with:
+ Feeding, mucking out, and daily care
    + Grooming and stable work

    If experienced: groundwork and/or riding

Being gentle, patient, and respectful with animals is essential.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

+ Feel comfortable in a quiet, rural setting surrounded by nature
+ Are happy spending time on your own as well — it is a small, close-knit team, not a large community
+ Are well-organized, reliable, kind, and enjoy hands-on tasks

    What We Offer

+ A stay in one of our two cozy Bauwagen (tiny homes) in a historic park under old trees — each has a bed, table, and wardrobe
+ Access to a shared kitchen and bathroom
+ A common room with Wi-Fi, sofas, and tables — a space to relax or work
+ Two bikes for exploring the area
+ Time to unwind, go swimming in a nearby lake (1.2 km), or hike on trails starting right behind the estate
+ A lift to the supermarket on a regular base and to and from the train station

The chance to be part of something new — we just took over the estate in June, and many things are still developing!

    Who We Are

We’re Nina and Albrecht, both in our forties. After many years in cities, we moved to the countryside six years ago to live more slowly and hands-on. We’re passionate about restoring historic buildings and creating space for quiet, meaningful work. We both have our background in fine arts. We also work with one full-time employee and one elderly team member.

    📍 Our Location

Gut Neuensund is a remote rural estate, surrounded by forest and farmland.
The nearest small town with a train station and supermarket is 10 km away.

From there, you can take day trips to places like:
    + Szczecin (Stettin) in Poland
    + The Uckermark countryside
    + The baltic sea

Or just enjoy peaceful days here on the land.

    Couples are welcome as well
