    Description

Hi, here we are Peque, the matriarch cat of this humble shelter with few cats more. The guy there next he was Nacho a while ago, although today she prefers you to call her Neis and usually walks around with the house keys and tools -she has a vocation to be a housekeeper- and Michelle, the lovely dog who takes care of all this mess.

Some years ago we started rebuilding this old warehouse and then a mill and later almost ruins and... Now we don't really know what it is, except -we try- fun. But Neis is beginning to lose the compass. We have created a lot of new fantastic spaces and dreams and we have not been able to finish most of them.

The place is plenty of possibilities, a lot of spaces and many handmade artistic works executed by amateurs from countless corners of the world. We want to end several minor works, put some order, finish painting and varnish some areas and...

Well, what colors in the wind whisper us.

Do you feel like fantasizing with us?

Practicing Spanish can be your main objective, although you can also try Catalan or a little Basque.

The Camino is one hour's walk away, and by walking you will reach Santiago in some weeks. Sometimes, when I need clearing my mind, I grab my backpack and join that cosmopolitan flow of pilgrims. It is an extraordinary experience.

In this land between two mountain ranges, the landscape and its people are unique. Cradle of the Spanish language and overflowing history and culture.

In its season, we can look for mushrooms and always learn from traditional Spanish cuisine or practice avant-garde gastronomy. We go hand in hand with some flagship chefs. We’ll offer you the worldwide famous paella up to local traditional plates as “patatas riojanas” and dozens of typical preparations.

And, of course, the wine. You will have the unique opportunity to combine gastronomy and wine in a traditional family winery, one of those that are not visited on tourist routes.

In the property it will be easy for you to find something you love doing -manage a new space, paint a wooden pannel, practice Zen with a cat...- with freedom to apply your creative skills and, well, we hope to learn and share life experiences and knowledge together from each other.

First of all, you will find here friendship and nature. There will be music, some art, gardening and horticulture and, slowly, we will continue the greenhouse building works and some other things. So, you will also have the opportunity to practice with a hammer or a brush.

The most important thing: let your wavelength vibrate with ours so that energy flows spontaneously and creativity emerges on its own. You see: very, very, very simple.

In practice, besides living... what are we doing?

We want to finish painting a glass and wood greenhouse. Actually the main pending tasks are the designs and finishes of insulation, lighting and painting of various parts of the house and...oh!

I almost forgot: a spaceship crashed against the garden and it must be restored and sent again towards its world.

And, well... seriously too: here there are a lot of jewelry made from your hands, from Denver to Hong Kong, and it should be fantastic to add and put them in value for public and try to drive its way onwards.

And, well... walks at sunset an so on.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We are located northwest of La Rioja, the land of wines. The Camino towards Santiago runs very close, just seven kilometers away. You will find us in a rural environment in the middle course of the Tirón river valley, sheltered by the Sierra de La Demanda. Herramélluri has just over a hundred inhabitants.

About two thousand years ago the place was populated by a Roman settlement on the route that linked the Mediterranean with the Castilian plateau.

Daily public transport to Haro (18km), Logroño (50km), Vitoria (60km) and Bilbao (90km) and also to Burgos, Zaragoza or Madrid through Santo Domingo de La Calzada (8km). Railway station in Miranda de Ebro 26 km.
