Description
Hello! We are an American family based in Gunma, Japan. In July and Aug, we plan to be in the beautiful town of Whistler.
We will only consider non-smoking/non-vaping volunteers. When you reach out to us, please confirm that you do not smoke or vape.

Help
We have twin toddlers and are excited to welcome responsible travelers who can join us to help with various household chores: cleaning, cooking, childcare. It's always a joy to get to share our family experiences with travelers from all over the world.
Please let us know your experience with childcare, cooking/cleaning. We are happy to host a couple or two friends traveling together!

We are looking for a responsible individual/couple who can join us and help with following tasks:
- cooking & food prep
- washing dishes
- cleaning the house & taking out trash/recycling
- laundry & sorting
- playing with babies (games and language exchange - Mandarin Chinese)
- weeding & yard
- driving
Hours/days can be flexible and we will discuss a schedule that makes the most sense for both sides.

We speak a few languages around the house and are more than happy to share our international experiences, foods, and languages with you.
Accommodation
In Canada: We will all stay in a private home. You will have your own room with shared living, dining, bath.
In Japan: You will stay in a private room in our guesthouse near our home. We will provide a bike for you to use during your time in Kiryu. The guesthouse is 10min away from our home by bike.
Usually, we have 3-5 planned family meals together each week. Any meals that you choose to have with our family will be covered. Additional meals on your own will not be covered.
What else ...
We're based in Gunma Prefecture, just 1.5hr direct express train from Tokyo. We live in a mid-size city with easy access to the mountains, rivers, and lakes. We love this area for its kind people, fresh air, and wonderful outdoor opportunities such as hiking and cycling. There are also excellent cafes, restaurants, supermarkets near our quiet neighborhood.
