Description
I have a huge interest in how to adapt old ways of living sustainable into modern everyday life. By recreating, repairing and taking care of houses, clothes and all everyday objects and eating food that is locally produced, I try to minimize my carbon footprint step by step.
I'm looking for like minded ppl, I believe everyone can have an impact, but we might need help to realize what.Types of help and learning opportunities

Help around the house

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
These old wooden houses are a base in Swedish heritage, some of the houses in Hälsingland are now part of Unesco's world heritage.
This house is about 300 years old and not much have changed, I'm planning on only using old methods and materials in restoring it, so if you have an interest in old work methods this is a good opportunity to be part of that process.
As soon as the other workshops are up and running, any one interested in working with glass/ceramics will have good opportunities to create there.
I cook mostly vegetarian food, but I'm really good at traditional Swedish food too, and I'm hoping that we can learn from each other. I buy as much that I can locally produced and organic.
The house is located in the countryside, close to forests and surrounded by open fields, but only 8 km to the nearest town, I have bikes if you don't have your own car.Projects involving children

Help
Hello,
I have an old house that I'm currently restoring using old work methods.
This is a huge project, and I'm not expecting everything to be completed in a year (or ten), I see it as a process and I'm letting it take the time it does.
In 2023 most of the inner walls were torn down, so for the summer of 2024 we will start building this up again. The walls will be covered in clay daubing, some with heating underneath. The kitchen will get partly a new floor made from clay with heating and I will expand the batteries for the solar panels and try to come up with a cleaver way to hide them in the house, maybe under the floor?
So what you can do for help is basically anything, there is a garden that can need some care, it will be modeled around the existing landscape, with lots of herbs. If you can some basic carpenter skills (no plastic will be used), that would be great, but most of all I need an extra set of arms and a creative set of eyes.Languages
