If you want to come down/ hang out/ live the "dolce vita" for a few weeks: here is YOUR opportunity!
Of course we also want to create something and do some projects, but in your own accommodation/ apartment with garden in the host building, you will have a lot of free time and privacy (if you want it)!
What we expect from you:
* Experience in carpentry/ joinery/ construction would be an advantage but not a requirement.
* You should enjoy gardening or doing projects outdoors.
We love to be creative and are always open to independent suggestions.
We expect you to keep the apartment clean.

We are OLAF (66) and ANNETTE (68) - and we are cousins.
OLAF is the owner of the house in a small village in the Westerwald.
He still works part-time as an instructor for elder caregivers, is very home-oriented, and can tell and show you a lot about his home.
He is the handyman in the host constellation.
He is also a boules freak with his own boules court on the property!
ANNETTE lives in a neighboring village and supports Olaf, the new host.
She lived in North America for 15 years as a nomad/gypsy/worker.
She was a workaway host in Mexico for 5 years and brings a lot of workaway experience to share with you.
She is the organizer/ networker in the two cousins team.
An exciting combination - isn't it? :-)
What we definitely have in common:
* We laugh a lot and with pleasure!!!
* We are both non-smokers - smoking is not allowed inside the house, but outside, of course.
* We enjoy a beer after work or a glass of wine at sunset.
Basic food is provided - sometimes everyone cooks for themselves, sometimes we share the cooking and then eat together.

Wenn ihr einmal ein paar Wochen so richtig runterkommen/ abhängen/ dolce vita leben wollt: Hier wäre die Gelegenheit!
Natürlich wollen wir auch etwas schaffen, aber in einer eigenen Unterkunft/ Wohnung mit Garten im Host-Gebäude habt ihr viel Freizeitgestaltung und Privatsphäre (wenn ihr wollt)!
Was wir von euch erwarten:
* Erfahrungen im Bereich Tischler/ Zimmermann, Bauarbeiten wären von Vorteil, aber nicht Voraussetzung.
* Gartenarbeit bzw. draussen zu arbeiten sollte euch Spass machen.
Wir lieben es kreativ zu sein, und sind für eigenständige Vorschläge immer zu haben.
Wir erwarten, dass ihr die von Olaf gestellte Wohnung sauber haltet.
Wir, das sind OLAF (66) und ANNETTE (68) - wir sind Cousin und Cousine.
OLAF ist Besitzer des Hauses in einem kleinen Dorf im Westerwald. Er arbeitet noch Teilzeit in seinem Job als Pflegepädagoge, ist sehr heimatbezogen und kann euch viel von seiner Heimat erzählen und zeigen.
Er ist der Handyman in der Gastgeber-Konstellation.
Und: Er ist Boule-Freak mit eigenem Bouleplatz auf dem Gelände!
ANNETTE wohnt in einem Nachbarort und unterstützt Olaf, den Gastgeberneuling.
Sie lebte 15 Jahre als Nomadin/ Gypsy/ Workawayerin in Nordamerika.
Davon war sie 5 Jahre Workaway-Gastgeberin in Mexico, und bringt viel Erfahrung im Bereich Workaway mit, die sie gerne mit euch teilt.
Sie ist die Organisatorin/ Netzwerkerin in dem Cousin-/ Cousinenteam.
Eine spannende Konstellation - oder? :-)
Was wir auf jeden Fall gemeinsam haben:
* Wir lachen viel und gerne!!
* Wir sind beide Nichtraucher - im Haus ist das Rauchen nicht erlaubt, aber natürlich im Aussenbereich.
* Wir geniessen ab und an ein Feierabendbier oder ein Glas Wein zum Sonnenuntergang.
Basic-Essen wird gestellt - mal kocht jeder für sich, mal kochen und essen wir gemeinsam.

Für euch gibt es:
* eine kleine Wohnung (Schlafzimmer, Wohnzimmer, Küche, Bad) mit eigener Terrasse, und
* Nutzung von Fahrrädern.
Olaf wohnt im gleichen Gebäude über "eurer" Wohnung, Annette in der nächsten Ortschaft.

OLAF'S house is located in a small, idyllic village on the outskirts of ALTENKIRCHEN in the Westerwald.
Public transportation is avsilable within 30 minutes walking distance - we are happy to drop you off or pick you up!
Or you can use the bicycles we provide.
In ALTENKIRCHEN you will find shopping facilities, cafes, restaurants and a weekly market.
You can also take trips to the many lakes in the area, go hiking, visit historic towns (such as Hachenburg), or take public transportation to Cologne, Koblenz, or Limburg, all of which are about an hour away.
The closest airport is in Cologne.
ANNETTE currently works in a cultural program (music, comedy and children's theater events) and travels to Cologne regularly. She will be happy to give you a lift!
And not to forget: OLAF has his own boules court on his property!
He will be happy to teach you how to play. There are regular boules sessions with friends, to which you are of course invited!

OLAF'S Haus liegt in einem kleinen, idyllischen Dorf am Ortsrand von ALTENKIRCHEN im Westerwald.
Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind fussläufig in 30 Minuten erreichbar - wir bringen oder holen euch gerne!
Oder ihr nehmt die Fahrräder, welche wir euch gerne zur Verfügung stellen.
In ALTENKIRCHEN befinden sich auch alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Cafe's, Restaurants sowie ein Wochenmarkt.
Ihr könnt Ausflüge zu vielen, umliegenden Seen machen, wandern, historische Kleinstädte (wie z.B. Hachenburg) besuchen, oder Köln, Koblenz oder Limburg mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in jeweils ca. 1 Stunde erreichen.
Nächster Flughafen ist Köln.
ANNETTE arbeitet zur Zeit in einem Kulturprogramm (Musik, Comedy und Kindertheaterveranstaltungen) mit, und sie fährt regelmässig nach Köln. Sie nimmt euch gerne mit!
Und nicht zu vergessen: OLAF hat auf seinem Grundstück einen eignen Boule-Platz!!
Er bringt euch gerne das Boulen bei. Regelmässig finden Boule-Sessions mit Freunden statt, zu denen ihr natürlich herzlich eingeladen seid!
