*All booked up for this summer, thanks very much!*

    Hi there!

I live with my partner in a beautiful part of Leeds, near one of the biggest parks in Europe and directly behind an ancient woodland where I volunteer. We've been working hard over the past three years to create a lovely home and garden and would love to find someone to take care of it while we're away.

This summer we'll be away 18th July to 2nd August 2026 so are looking for someone to take care of our cat and garden.

Our little cat, Lucy, is an older gal, but enjoys many cuddles, will purr on your chest and loves a wander around the garden on a sunny day. She does have some medication with her food, but it's simple to add on top. Otherwise she's a pretty happy lass!

We have a veg patch at the front of the house and a wildlife garden at the beach, complete with pond. There may well be food to enjoy while you're there!

We live in Oakwood, Leeds, so feel free to have a search of the area. There are lovely local cafes and coffee shops as well as a good array of food shops nearby to pick up food from around the world. We love living in our diverse community and are lucky to have wonderful, kind neighbours.

Please get in touch if this sounds like somewhere you'd like to spend some time this summer! 🌞 Thanks for reading.

Leeds is a diverse city, and our area sits in between two big neighborhoods of Harehills and Roundhay. To the north is a massive park where there are summer events - especially the traditional Yorkshire brass bands playing in bandstands! To the South you'll find some incredible South Asian food shops and restaurants.

We have a cute little cat called Lucy who needs some company while we're away. She is SUPER affectionate and would like to lie on your lap all day if you'd let her! She needs feeding in the morning and evening, her letter tray being cleared and water replenished. But mainly she's a sociable cat who is used to people being around, so plenty of cuddles, brushing and a little playtime is ideal. She's an older gal, and takes some medication with her breakfast.

The back garden is a wildlife haven, with a native wildlife meadow at the back, a pond, clover lawn and borders of lots of well loved plants. While staying, you can just enjoy watching the birds!

At the front of the house we've got a fruit and veg forest so we'd love to find someone keen to keep it all alive while getting to enjoy lots of tasty tomatoes, salad, herbs, courgettes, aubergines and berries!

    Lucy (16 years)

Lucy is an adorable little black cat who just LOVES hanging out with humans. At 16 years old, she's definitely enjoying her older years, but still has a little potter around the garden safe will chase of neighbouring cats! She will take a bit of time to get used to you, but once she knows you, she'll be on your lap, arms, shoulders, chest or wherever she can fit!

She has had some medical problems in the last year as she's got older, just some gut issues. But she's on medication and seems to be getting on well with that. She has her meds with food, so it's easy to give to her.
