    Description

We live in a village just outside of Falkirk, in a great spot to reach both Glasgow and Edinburgh in less than half an hour by train.
Our house is a modern semi detached with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths.
I fell seriously ill a few years back and since my recovery against all odds, we home educate our children and travel extensively, often with our little dog Rolo.
When we travel further afield he usually stays with the same friend but unfortunately due to a last minute change in circumstances this won’t be possible now and we are looking for someone to stay in our house with him for around 4 months instead.
He is almost 9 but extremely healthy and agile, absolutely loves walks, chasing a ball and even long hikes but can also easily cope with just going on regular walks around the block.
He was a rescue at age 3 and we are unsure of his history with children before we got him but although he is absolutely fine with them now, he definitely prefers adult company. Since having him he has been in a house with our small kids and their friends daily but we are careful that kids must not chase him or try to pick him up, as it frightens him.
He is extremely loving and is never happier than when he can sit on someone’s lap on the sofa but he is also quite capable of staying in the house for a few hours on his own here and there.
We really don’t want to leave him at a kennel or boarders, it would break my heart, but we can’t cancel our trip at this short notice and we are really hoping for someone who would like to explore all the beauty Scotland has to offer with a little loving sidekick. It stars minimum one month but ideally we want someone for the full duration mid September - mid December

You can do whatever you like, as long as you look after our dog and keep the house in order. Obviously no crazy parties.
This would be a full house and pet sit, with walks and care for Rolo and basic home tasks like cleaning up after yourself but that is essentially all we ask.
