    Description

    Hello, adventurers!

We are Lisa and Stefan, and we warmly invite you to join our open and friendly family in Thiersee, Tyrol. Together with our three children—Mathilda (7 years), Benedikt (2 years), and Maximilian (11 months)—we live on a beautiful farm away from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by breathtaking nature.

    About Us:
We run a small organic butcher shop in Kufstein and also rent out a mountain hut on the Ackern Alm. We love sharing our life with others and would be delighted to have a workawayer become part of our family. You will join us on hikes, visit our private lakeside property, and accompany us on various outings. Your help will be greatly appreciated in making our daily life smoother.

    Our Animals:
We have two pygmy goats, Lucifer and Jerry, who help watch over our 7 chickens. Lucifer is very affectionate and loves to be petted, while Jerry is still a bit shy. Our chickens are a colorful bunch, and one of them hatched 4 chicks on August 1st, so there is always a lot of activity on our farm.

    About Thiersee:
Thiersee is a charming village nestled in the Tyrolean Alps, offering both easy and challenging hiking trails. The surrounding area is dotted with beautiful lakes, perfect for swimming and picnicking. Our farm is ideally situated for anyone who loves nature and outdoor activities. You have opportunities to join us at various summer festivals in Thiersee, where you can immerse yourself in our local culture, meet the people who live here, and perhaps make new friends. There you will see nearly the whole village in our typical Lederhose and Dirndl, because we love to wear our Tracht.

Especially in winter, skiers will get their money's worth. In close proximity, we have two small ski resorts that offer a lot of variety. They are perfect for beginners as well as more advanced skiers, ensuring plenty of fun. The large ski resorts, with up to 280 kilometers of slopes, are also easily accessible thanks to various ski buses. It is very convenient to get there and spend a day on the slopes.

    Nearby Kufstein:
Just a short drive from Thiersee, Kufstein is a historic town with a fortress, shops, and restaurants. Kufstein has a train station with connections to larger cities.

    Work Schedule:
    max. 5 hours a day, 5 days a week
2 days off to explore the area or relax. Let me know what you love, I will help you to find good activities.

Based on our previous experience, we specifically invite Work-Away participants whose native language is German or who have a solid foundation in German. We have found that working with German-speaking Work-Away participants is significantly easier, especially in relation to our children.

    Your Tasks:
The main task will be spending time with the children, doing crafts with them, painting, helping with homework, or preparing meals for them. This will allow Lisa to work or give Stefan and Lisa the opportunity to spend time together.

also to do: Feeding the animals (hay, collecting eggs, changing water daily)
    Watering the flowers
Assistance with cleaning tasks (vacuuming, sweeping, bathroom/WC).
if you love cooking feel free to do so :)

    What We Expect:
    Responsibility and reliability
    Love for children and animals
Flexibility and willingness to help where needed
Basic knowledge of German and English
