Description
Hi! I’m the host of the café and guesthouse, and I really enjoy create great moment for traveller and hope everyone feel home here! Me and my team - Kitchen Chef, Barista & Cleaner also fit the vibe of sharing good and useful tips to travller.
Our place is day time cafe and full day for Hostel, and my aim is very simple - hygience and friendly is the main take. Volunteers who stay with us will get to experience how a small hospitality space operates while being part of our daily routine and environment. Volunteer are here to help to create chill environment, receotionist, chit chating with guest and also organisesome small activities at night time to have fun with our traveller.
We are located 10 minutes away from the Ipoh Train station, Concubine Lane and Ipoh Old Town is just right at where we located, so there is plenty to explore within walking distance. You can enjoy local street food, visit cafés, discover heritage buildings, and experience the local culture. The area is also lively at night, with nearby spots to relax, have drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere. During your time off, you can explore the town, try different foods, or simply enjoy a slow day in the café.

Volunteer staying with us will experience local culture through visits to night markets, trying local food, and exploring everyday life in the community. Volunteers will also take part in the daily operation of our café and guesthouse, allowing them to learn how a small hospitality business runs. We interact closely with volunteers as part of our team, sharing meals, ideas, and experiences together. Through this exchange, we hope volunteers can learn about local culture and business operations, while we also learn from their cultures, perspectives, and new ideas.
Help
I always want to make the space comfortable for both guests and volunteers. Since the café and guesthouse are small, there are always many things to do, so I welcome some helping hands to keep the place running smoothly in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Typical help may include:
• Reception – helping with guest check-in and check-out.
• Cleaning – simple housekeeping such as making beds, cleaning bathrooms, washing dishes, and doing laundry.
• Socializing – chatting with guests, creating a friendly atmosphere, and sometimes helping to organize small events.
• General help – assisting with small tasks around the café or house when needed.

You will assigned to stay at capsule dormitory with our guest, and you can use the our kitchen during off operation hours with one meal shared and ingredient can make other 2 meal a day
What else ...
We are located very close to some of the main attractions in the area, including Concubine Lane and Ipoh Old Town, so volunteers can easily walk around and explore during their free time. There are many local street food spots, and authentic local dishes to try nearby. The nightlife here is also quite lively, and just across from our hostel you can find local places where you can try traditional drinks like rice wine and coconut wine. It’s a great area to experience the local culture, food, and atmosphere.
