    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I enjoy spending time with my guests, and when possible, depending on my work situation, I take them around for the best food in the city, on weekend also joining together with my housemate Carson and with my girlfriend Jane (both local Malaysians). I can share my experience about over 20 years in Asia, including but not limited to: meditation, buddhism, taoism, japanese culture, tea ceremony, therapy massage, shiatsu, taichi, ayurveda, healthy food, environment care.

Music: In the house we have a piano and a guitar. If you know how to play an instrument, you can play whenever you want.

Massage: At home I have various different massage machines (for back, legs, feet) you may try and use, if kindly requested. I trained as a massage therapist in Asia and can help solve minor problems with muscle tension, stress and tiredness. In some cases, I can also teach the basics, for those interested in learning the foundations of muscle/deep tissue massage.

Others: Of all the people we've hosted so far, some have done more than they should have, some have done less than they should have, and some have done just enough or the bare minimum. We love you all, but in life you get what you give. What kind of guest are you? I can't wait to find out.

    Help

We need some help to prepare the room for new guests, and to keep the 2 apartments clean (living room, bathrooms, kitchen).
If you like cooking, you can use the kitchen. and teach some of your favourite dish.
Teaching and sharing knowledge with us, if travellers have experience in a field of interest (music, cooking, etc).
No princesses who freak out over basic cleaning. If you’re spoiled, high-maintenance, or think basic cleaning is beneath you—or if you expect a hotel vacation instead of helping out—don’t even bother to apply. This is Workaway, not a free resort stay.

    Accommodation

    In the apartment common area:
    > Wi-Fi
    > Piano/keyboard
    > Guitar
    > Chess
    > Videogames (Switch, Ps4, Ps5)

In the building, on a different floor:
    - Swimming Pool
    - Gym
    - Sauna

Majority of Kuala Lumpur famous tourist spots are only within 5km away, or few subway stops, such as the KLCC Twin Towers, KL Tower, Pavilion Shopping Mall, Bukit Bintang shopping areas.

Meals: simple breakfast is available at home in the morning (egg, bread, jam, spreadable, peanut butter). However, guests must take care of their own main meals for lunch and dinner, that can be bought outside at their own cost. Eating out is very cheap in Malaysia, many local eating places are nearby my house and cost just 2 or 3 euro at most. Within a 10 minute walk we have three big shopping malls and over hundred restaurants of all types.

    Very well connected
    about 10mins walk to:
✧ MRT Maluri Station (3 stops to Bukit Bintang)
✧ LRT Maluri Station (about 15 mins subway to Twin Towers)

    I expect my guests to
    - remove shoes before entering the house
    - keep clean
    - snack and food only in the kitchen area
    - no smoking, no drugs
    - no aircon. Anyway high floor is well ventilated.
    - respect the rules and advice given, respect the house, respect different opinions and ways of life
    - no pineapple pizza in the house
