We are a small bilingual international private elementary school in Matagalpa, Nicaragua dedicated to providing quality education to the students we serve. We believe education should be fun and interactive and are striving to educate children through technology, games, and activities. We are about to begin our fourth year of operations (2020) and are looking to add talented, creative, caring teachers to our team and also provide a cultural exchange among our members and staff!

OBJECTIVE OF THE HELP
- To contribute to the integral formation of students through the use of innovative teaching/learning techniques, consistent professional review, and application of traditional. technological, and creative means in the complete English immersion process for kids age 3-11.
- Suggest and discuss new ideas and methodology with the Academic Director and the Administrative Director to improve educational techniques.
PROFILE OF QUALIFIED CANDIDATE FOR THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in one of the following specialties: Education, Pedagogy, Spanish, English, Latin American Studies, Family and Human Services, Sociology, Social Sciences, Social work, Psychology, TEFL, ESL or other relevant field of study.
Experience: Previous work or volunteering experience in the education field (Teaching, assisting in classroom, counseling, after school programs, etc.) especially with children ages 3-11.
Volunteers must have Passion and disposition to work with children. Creative and motivated to adapt lesson plans and teaching methodologies using new technology and pedagogy research. Committed to developing critical thinking skills in the students and to developing interest in science and environmental conservation among the students. We also require volunteers to speak English (advanced level) and Spanish (intermediate to advanced level). Other language skills are an added benefit in selecting candidates.
Time required / Commitment time: 11 months. From February 2020 to December 2020.
Benefits for volunteers working for 1 year or more include Monetary Stipend for food and expenses.

Shared House / Shared Rooms / Dorms. Two story house, 1 living room, furnished and full kitchen included. Laundry area with washing machine. The house is located in downtown Matagalpa, close to museums, theaters, sports facilities, supermarkets, vegetable markets and cultural activities.
Regarding the food, we offer money stipend for it and for extra expenses, so that way volunteers can buy the food they would like to have and cook at the house.
