My name is Goran, I am an environmental engineer from Subotica, serbia Ex Yugoslavia. I am 27 years old, and coordinator of an open museum park.
This was founded by my uncle Blaško 15 years ago, when Jugoslavia changed name to Serbia&Montenegro. He sad that "80 years of Yugoslavia shouldnt be errased without refferendum" and he proclaimed 3 hectares of beatifull Park as "Mini Yugoslavia". At the beging many people visited us and many journalist came to write story about smallest country in the world. Couple years ago, Blaško had problem with capitalist Bank, but somehow we managed to retain the park in our family ownership.
Idea is to create museum with hostel and national restaurant, where pople could come and learn about Yugoslavia famous history, and spend nice weekend or whole week in beatifull park and its features.

You will be accommodated on the site, in building in front of the Park. Idea is that building should be renowned in order to open hostel in it. You will have your personal room, with good quality bed, clean sheets and steady heating. There is nice, bathroom and toilets inside the building and also solar showers for use during summer, spring and autumn. Basic kitchen conditions that will be improved during time. Location of the Park is in the city of Subotica, and bus line nmb 1 will take you to the center in 10 minutes. Local bus stop is just across the street.
Food will be self organised - all of the basic nutritions will be available - there is fridge and stove with oven in the kitchen.
Recently we organised work camp where 15 people joined us from allaround the world and worked with us for 2 weeks. I could say that they realy enjoyed their stay and feel good about contribution they made.
About Subotica and Palić lake:
The City of Subotica is located on the north of the Republic of Serbia, along the main European corridors and between two rivers: the Danube and the Tisa. Rich cultural heritage assets, lavishly decorated buildings, multicultural spirit and European charm – these are the features that make this city distinctive. Subotica is known for its relaxed atmosphere, good food and quality wines. Festivals, events, concerts, vibrant cultural life all year long are a reason more to visit our city. On top of that, Subotica offers a lot of interesting places for rest and leisure, for activities around the lakes, on horse-farms, farmsteads, in forests and hunting areas. Palić, the lake and the settlement by the same name are 8 kilometres east of Subotica. Palić offers something new, unrepeatable and enriching at any season. Outstanding facilities from the beginning of the 20th century: the Water Tower, the Grand Terrace, the Women’s Lido and the Music Pavilion, the splendid park, the well-known lake, peace and silence make Palić an ideal space for rest and relaxation. Currently Palić provides high category hotels, regenerated luxury and comfortable villas in the so called “Palić style”, several lodgings and private boarding houses. Excellent restaurants and cafés, sport and recreational fields, three arranged beaches, a thermal pool, a Zoo, cycle lanes, walking paths, a set of versatile events, dynamic cultural life and entertainment possibilities and contents comprise the comprehensive offer of the Palić Tourist Centre.
