    Description

We are a family of 4 living on a farm from 1857 on the scenic island Møn.
We fell in love with the farm in 2026 and moved to Møn from Copenhagen where we lived for more than 25 years.

We are two adults, Jes and Marie, our daughter Sol  6 years old, Jes´son Silas 15 years old - and our sweet cat O'Malley.

Jes is a photographer with a background as a carpenter and a long passionated travel history in India.
Marie is a textile artist with a strong interest in healing herbs and spirits in nature.
We both enjoy wintherbathing, sauna, a good cup of ceremonial cacao and meeting people from all over the world.

Sol loves to make pancakes over a campfire, rollerskating, eating icecream and playing with her doll.
Silas enjoys spending time with his friends, all kinds of dishes with egg and all kinds of machinery.

Our farm is located only 13 km from Møns Klint, which made it on UNESCO World Heritage List in 2025. The beach is a bikeride away, just 3,5 km. We have easy access to Møns main town, Stege, with busses and bikelane.

We love our adventures old garden with climbing trees, fruits, berries, flowers, fallen trees full of magic, sunset spots and shelter peace. Hope you will enjoy all of it too!

You will be part of our familylife and we will welcome you with open arms. We enjoy sharing meals together, getting to know your background and your passions. Hope to have good moments together around the bonfire, in the sauna or on picknick to some of the most scenic naturespots on Møn.
we are openminded, curious and welcoming by nature, and we have had many rental guests stay with us in our apartment, when we were living in Copenhagen. Our guests always told us that they felt very much at home and that they appreciated the way we took them into our lives and family.
Having kids puts a limit to how you can travel and for how long - something we missed a lot - but we learned that having guests from all over the world staying with us, became a way to travel for us. We had great exchanges with our guests and are still writing each other and staying in touch.

We want to continue that exchange with workawayers, and we fell confident that there's a lot to gain and learn for both parties.

We have a huge shared room 60 m2 where we within time plan to host events for locals and turists. You may of course take part in that, and also help facilitate it.

This place is also new to us ( we moved here in march '26) so all ideas and visions for the farm are welcome, we wish that you will feel connected and engaged while you are here.

The island, Møn, has a lot and strong communities, where people together make a lot of things possible.

We also have a small gardenhouse 30 mins outside of Copenhagen in another strong community in the middle of nature. It is also possible to visit that, if you have an interest in seeing other parts of Denmark and getting closer to Copenhagen.

    Help

We need help with gardenwork and fixing up and improvements of the farm:

    The house:
The house 270 m2, our home is in one end of the building and we are fixing up the other end, preparing it to be rented out.
Jes is a skilled carpenter, and would love to pass on all his knowhow, practical experience and tips and tricks on how to keep a house.

    The garden:
The garden is 6500 m2, part of it is kept wild, other places we need help getting rid of blackberries and other invasive species.
We would like help to create attractive spots in the garden for both wildlife and humans: -establish a good home for chickens, clean up our tiny lakes for the water spirits to enjoy, -create a healing plant circle and a wild flower field and starting up an organic vegetable garden.

We are inspired by permaculture and regenerative agriculture and treat our garden as with respect for all its living- and spiritual beings and with the idea that fairytales may exist and unfold from all places in the garden.

Skills within gardenwork and handywork is appreciated, but not at all mandatory, we will learn together along the way and adjust tasks to your ability.

Most important is a positive approach, that you are not afraid of trying and learning something new and getting soil under your nails. Attention to details is a plus, as we appreciate beauty and strong esthetic.

We will be doing most tasks together and sharing skills along the way. Hopefully you can also teach us things we otherwise never would learn.

An old, thick tree with a hollow trunk stands in a forest. A colorful wooden ladder leans against it. Leafy ground and bare branches surround.
A small fire burns in a circular fire pit made of bricks colored with pastel chalk. The fire pit sits on grass and stone ground.
A smiling child wearing boots swings from a tree branch in a sunlit yard. Behind her is a yellow house with multiple windows and a blue roof.
A leafless tree with mossy branches frames a steep chalk cliff, overlooking turquoise waters below, creating a dramatic and serene coastal landscape on a misty day.
The image shows a view from inside a barn or garage, looking out onto a grassy garden with outdoor furniture, two houses, and trees under a clear sky.
A white car and trailer are parked beside a long white house with arched windows, under trees casting shadows, on a sunny day with clear blue sky.
Two people relax outdoors in a courtyard, cooking over a small fire pit surrounded by bricks. Tools, tables, and a wheelbarrow are nearby, creating a rustic scene.
