  • Description

We are an award-winning micro-farm based in Ballyneety, County Limerick Ireland. We are a chemical-free farm using the soil as a means to produce high quality vegetables. We are transitioning to Korean Natural Farming practices this year.

We adhere to strict guidelines which help to preserve and improve soil conditions so that we add more to the natural environment than we take away. You will gain experience of how to grow vegetables, so that you can become self-sufficient in growing for yourself and/or your family.

This is a very rare opportunity to gain a comprehensive experience from seed to plate. You will stay at a place where everyone speaks English, is safe and fosters an open and accepting environment, free from prejudice of colour, creed, sexuality or gender. We welcome everyone with open arms.

The work is physical and demanding but we endeavour to make it fun and involving as much as is possible. In return, you will receive three meals a day. Comfortable lodgings, with wifi, washing and laundry facilities. No need to bring bed linen as it will be provided. Weekends are always free so you can enjoy visiting local sites or travelling around the country.

Cooking and cleaning responsibilities are shared amongst everyone so that there is more of a communal feel. There will be workaways from other countries so it is a great experience to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures. English speaking throughout your stay is strongly advised as many people come to practice their English.

  • Help

We have many years experience travelling ourselves and understand what it is like to leave family and friends behind to travel to other countries. We will endeavour to ensure that your experience is appreciated and rewarding. You will be doing gardening, planting flowers, sowing seeds, some weeding and watering.

** We are really looking for people who are really interested in gardening and growing food for themselves. **
