Hello! My name is Alexis and my partner Max and I are about to embark on a long backpacking adventure around Europe. We are from the San Francisco Bay Area in California, US. We have been dating for about 3 years and have traveled to many different places together, a highlight being Peru and the Amazon Rainforest! A couple things that bring me happiness are pink and purple sunsets, horseback riding, a really good plate of pasta, and feeling like you belong in a community. We're excited to see what Workaway opportunities will bring!

Alexis currently works at a wildlife museum and has spent her whole life around horses, so she has strong experience with animal care and is very comfortable working outdoors. She enjoys nature, hiking, and hands-on outdoor work, and has a passion for photography. Max works as a framer and has practical skills in building, renovating, and general hands-on projects, and is also very artistic and loves to draw. Max and Alexis both graduated university with film and digital media degrees, so they have experience with filmmaking, media, and camera technology. Together they are creative, hardworking, and happy to help with animal care, outdoor and garden work, building or renovation projects, art or photography, and social media tasks.

Max and Alexis are both in a band and love playing music together! We would love to find a community that values music and to learn about different traditional instruments from different countries, as we both play multiple instruments and will definitely miss having a guitar around when we travel.
