    Description

We, Marco and Britta, are from Italy (Lake Maggiore) and Germany/Switzerland (Lake Lugano). Marco has traveled the world (by motorcycle and sailboat) and, after 24 years of traveling together with now 50 years old "Cadeau" (the sailboat, a Swan 44), he found a new port for the boat and a home for us on Vannøya island.
And here we are... we live a bit "At the end of the world"; and that’s also our motto: to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and create — and enjoy — a place where you can see and experience nature and authentic Norway. Here, you can feel the real wind on your face, often even Arctic air... We build and bring ideas to life, always with our own hands and as typically Norwegian as possible.
Last projects: the largest and northernmost travel and maritime library in a Norwegian house (over 100 years old) and a Sauna which blends almost invisibly into the landscape ... we never run out of ideas...

Our new project: we’ve got two old boathouse ruins that we’re bringing back to life.
One of them will become home for our old Nordland boat (which also will need some love at some point ), and the other one… a bit fancier — a cozy spot for coffee, reading and just relaxing
The ruins are built from stone, so yeah… this summer is going to be a bit of a workout.
But we’re super excited to see how it all turns out—we're looking forward to your help and ideas... .

Our guests will learn what is life at the end of the World. They will have a unique opportunity to discover the culture and the traditions of the people living in these remote areas. Moreover Vannøya has amazing mountains and treks for the free time. Once a week we also go sailing as we have a sailboat.

    Accommodation

The property has 2 houses and our guests will sleep in one of the 4 bedrooms of the house with shared bathrooms...(If possible, singles will have their own room, but in some cases they may have to share; couples have their own room.

We don’t provide meals, but sharing food is a big part of the experience for us 🤍
Whenever possible, we like to cook and eat together — simple, relaxed, and social.
We’ll coordinate as a group, split grocery costs and cooking, and share everyday chores — kind of like living together as a little family.

Since we live on a 15-hectare peninsula, the camper could certainly be big... ;-) But our rooms are also very nice... :-))
