    Description

    Hi there,
We are a german-french family of 3, living in a big house with a huuuuge garden, near Dortmund.
We have a lot going on this year, renewing the house, creating cosy spaces in the garden, and growing our veggies.
Our little town is super easy to reach (15 min by train from Dortmund center, or even easier by car, the next autobahn is 5 mins away :) ) There is plenty to do and to discover around, wether you like biking or hiking or if you prefer events, expos, discover the mining culture or just nights out,…in the Ruhrpott, there is always something going on, and we will be happy to guide you around :)
We always have a lot going on, so no matter what you know or don’t know how to do, we can either teach you, or find the perfect fit for you to help around.
We speak English, German, French and Spanish, so feel free to write in whatever language feels more comfortable for you ;)

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We have been traveling a lot ourselves and are always happy to share experiences and memories. As an international family we always have great exchanges about culture, languages and traditions around the world.
We live in the Ruhrpott, which is a very open minded, lively and full of very interesting background culture and people. There was a lot of mining going on here in the past, and the area has been transforming places and life in incredible ways over the last years. There is just so much to learn and discover every day, that we can only promise to help you find the right place at the right time, depending on what you love to do;)

  • Help

    Help

We would need help in renewing the house, dry wall building, painting and sanding the staircase are the main portions this year.
You can also help in the garden, mowing, care and harvest the veggies, build wood furnitures, create cosy sitting areas around or build the barbecue.
But we could also use some help just watching the kid, teaching languages, sports, crafts and arts, and with cooking.
We are always happy to learn and share our cultures so, we will surely find a way for you to help around. :)

    Accommodation

You’ll live with us in the house, in your own room. Of course, if you prefer to camp in the garden, it’s also possible:)
We’ll share the kitchen, two bathrooms, and all the living space. The garden and the house are big enough for you to have as much privacy as you need, and there is, of course, wifi available.
We try to have as many meals as possible together, but it will never be a problem if she have different food schedules. We cook many different dishes, as fresh as possible, and we have no problem with any special diet, just let us know.
