We are a group of long term Saigon expats who want to get out of the city and spend more time in the fresh(er) air! So we’ve taken over a farm about two hours from Saigon and are looking for volunteers to help us reach our ambitious vision.
As a group we are mixed nationalities, British, German, French, American & Vietnamese. We share common interests yet bring individual strengths to the project. Most of us have travelled widely before settling in Vietnam - we are artists, DJs, writers, permaculture experts, social entrepreneurs and have worked in many different sectors. We are mature, focused yet know how to enjoy life and we look forward to welcoming similar, like-minded people to our farm.
The farm is a huge place, covered in fruit trees, near a massive lake, close to a popular water park, and it’s only a two hour drive from the city. The land is a mix of cultivated and wild, trees are mature and the grass is high!
There’s a 5-bedroom villa, a swimming pool, BBQ area, and plenty of places to chill and enjoy the peace and quiet. The local villagers are super friendly and the food is pretty awesome.

Help with Eco Projects
We hope you will enjoy spending time with us in the Vietnamese countryside, close to a local community and surrounded by nature. This is an opportunity to be part of a sustainable community project that protects the environment and supports people living close by. It's also the opportunity to be part of a creative community, have fun and hang out!
All of us have creative backgrounds and we’re working on this as a community project. We want to create a boutique hotel in the villa to help fund the project, set-up camping facilities for weekend festivals, install a pool bar and small eatery, develop the fruit trees into a permaculture eco-farm, open a farm shop, and start planting more crops. And lots more….
There's plenty of work that needs doing, but what you get involved with depends on your interests. The farm and crops need tending and harvesting. We want to clear land to plant more, and create an area where we can set up a small camping ground.
The pool area needs a small bar constructed by for socialising, and once completed we will work on clearing an area for a small cafe, next to our kitchen. Once our boutique hotel is up and running it's be good to have someone to do daily cleaning activities, spend time with the guests, cook meals and so on.
Our attitude is 'all-hands-on-deck'. Although we all have different strengths, we all chip in where needed. Our real need is just for extra pairs of hands, people who don't mind rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in, whatever the order of the day may be.
We also want to open an eco-education centre where kids can learn about sustainable living and enjoy time outside the city. As artists and musicians, we want to incorporate creativity into what we do as much as possible. This part of the project is further down the line - we need to get the farm up and running first!
At the moment we have accommodation in the farm's villa. There are 5 bedrooms in total and you might be sharing a room depending on how many people are on the farm at any one time
Food is provided on-site, although it's basic and tends to be Vietnamese, which means there's often rice. Coffee and tea are essentials. There are vegetarians/vegans in our team so there's normally a choice of food.
We take turns cooking, some of us are better than others, and you're more than welcome to pitch in if you have talents! A hand with washing and clearing is always appreciated...
So as you can see, we’ve got ambitious plans for our farm. We’ve got backgrounds in all aspects of what we’re trying to achieve, but need plenty of hands to help us reach our goals! If you’d like to come and give us a hand, see what we’re doing, and spend some time in traditional Vietnam, away from city life - get in touch and let’s make this happen!
