    Description

We are looking for help with gardening and some general maintenance in exchange for food and accommodation. We're not overly organised with cooking so can't cook meals for helpers regularly, but happy to provide food and take shopping list requests. We have 2 spare bedrooms with double/queen beds). Laura is Aussie and works during the week. Finn is French and working FIFO. We're located in the sleepy Perth Hills suburb of Wooroloo, but are close to heritage trails, Mundaring Weir, state forests, National Parks, Lake Leschenaultia, and are about 30-40 mins from historical towns Toodyay and York. Helpers are welcome to use the swimming pool, WIFI, and the shady veranda/front garden to spend time and relax. We also have a workshop that helpers are welcome use if needed. We have a Blue Heeler X dog called Spud who is very friendly and energetic, so would suit people who are comfortable with dogs.

We enjoy showing helpers around our local area, including local sights, cafes and bars, historical towns, bush and national parks. We also love to spend time getting to know people and sharing stories and life experiences. We have family that live locally who also enjoy meeting people from different cultures and often catch up for family dinners with helpers.

We are looking for help with gardening and some general maintenance. At the moment we really need some ivy removed and a general garden tidy up. There are some odd jobs, like removing old screws from walls and installing a fence/gate.

    Accommodation

We have two guest bedrooms with a double and queen bed. We are happy to take couples or singles. We love in Wooroloo, a small town on the outskirts of Perth. There's a small shop, primary school, and a fire station but nothing much else in town. We love the peace and quiet of our little town. We have a front veranda and cottage garden, and a big pool out the back. We have WIFI, several streaming services, and a weirdly tiny bath that you're welcome to try and squeeze into.

We often work long hours during the week, so would prefer helpers cook their own meals. However, we are more than happy to take orders for the shopping list so the fridge and pantry and fully stocked with what you prefer to eat.

There is a bus that goes through town but the service is infrequent so be prepared for this if you don't have your own transport.

There's lots of bushwalking options nearby. We can take you to the local visitors centre for maps and information. We're also happy to drop you off/pick you up if you want to plan a longer walk or need help with transport.
