Description
After renting our house, I have found so many things damaged and so dirty that I need help!!!!!!
Now almost everything is back to the way it was :-)
As I have a hip prothesis and must protect it, I need someone who can help with the cleaning, putting things away on the attic (I must convert my ex-office into another bedroom, gardening (cut the bushes and grass and clean the flower beds). etc
----------------------------
NO SMOKERS, please!
3 hours help / day - no work on weekends
As you'll have lots of free time to work, we're only offering the room to sleep (you can use the kitchen of course)
We can take 1 person for the time to be discussed (1-2 weeks or more, if we get along)Types of help and learning opportunities
Gardening
DIY and building projects
Help around the house
General Maintenance
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I am a teacher of Portuguese - you can learn Portuguese as in a Total Immersion Program
Help
I would like to welcome someone who can paint some areas inside the house, help with the garden and cleaning
Languages spoken
English: Fluent
Accommodation
A single bed, a charriot to hang your clothes, a desk with a chair
What else ...
In the neighbourhood you have a horse riding school, tennis lessons, dance lessons, you can just go to one of the cafés to hang out with local youngsters and/or watch football matches, you can go to Guincho Beach by foot/bike, you can go with a house bike to the mountains on the back or to the town center, for more beaches, bars, etc. You have a bowling place you can go by foot, or you just can hang on the garden swing or a sun bed outside to take some sun and rest. Lisbon is less than 30 km away, and Sintra around 10 km, so you can also visit these places

He was always considering, kind, complying with our tasks schedule, helping around, showing appreciation for the meals I cooked.

Host accused me of forcing her to operate around my time, I tried to reason with her and reach a solution but she cancelled the Exchange after one night.
It was a gross overreaction
After 2 months asking me to come and"help", I decided to choose him over other 6 people who wanted to come... what a wrong idea I had!!!
As far as I know now, he agreed on an arrival date when he KNEW he had something else... so after telling… read more
Maria is a fantastic person, kind and nice she offered me a bed at the end of a long journey where I had only slept in a tent and I and my back would always be grateful to her for that.
I was a guest at his home in early September and
working for her was fun, we painted a room, mowed the grass and I helped her in everyday… read more

He was a precious help while staying here :-)
Not only executing each "project" very well, but while he was here I got COVID (even though I had the vaccine) and he was a helping hand before I had to stay at the… read more
Thanks to Isabel for hosting when another host canceled my accommodation at the last minute.
Her house is in a very good location, close to the beach and much more.
