Discover Playa Buen Hombre
We’re more than just a kite school, restaurant, and bar – we’re a close-knit family located in one of the most unique spots in the Caribbean. Our school sits on stunning flat, clear, and warm waters, perfect for all levels of kiteboarding.
Playa Buen Hombre is a hidden gem – a small fishing village where everyone knows each other, creating a safe and welcoming vibe. Over the past year, I’ve been working to share this magical place with the world. I founded our kite school to support the local community, employing 12 local instructors and training them to become IKO-certified professionals. We’re proud to be the only IKO center within a 3-hour radius!
But we can’t do this alone. Whether it’s helping us keep the space organized, lending a hand at the school, or simply spreading the word, your support makes a difference. Come kite with us, immerse yourself in our culture, and be part of our family. You’ll arrive as a guest and leave as one of us.

This town is very small and for the most part no one speaks english. So you can practice your spanish here for sure. We also have a kite school and the conditions here are excellent. Additionally I was a Salsa Dance Instructor for 10 years so you could dance too.

I need help maintaining and building the place. But you can also help around the school with english speaking customers, if you are an IKO Instructor then you will be able to give classes. We have a good vibe and our priority is to have a good time and to make new friends. We are a new school, bar and restaurant.

Accommodation
Shared room with bunkbeds will be provided. The apartment has a big kitchen that you can use to make your own meals. The apartment is new and it’s located in the city center about 10-15 min walk from the beach and school. Grocery store is across the street.
