Hello! We are Denis, Brenda, and our little one, Luciano.
We run a hotel in the heart of Carhuaz, Ancash – a peaceful and authentic village in the Peruvian Andes.
As a young family with a big dream, we’ve created a cozy and welcoming hotel where both Peruvians and international travelers can feel at home. Surrounded by nature and stunning mountain views, our hotel is designed for families, adventurers, and anyone looking to disconnect and recharge.
We are proud to be active members of our community. We collaborate closely with the local municipality, tourism agencies, and non-profits to support sustainable growth and meaningful change in our region.
This hotel is powered by a small but mighty team of 2 local women, and we're currently looking for extra help to keep growing together.
We have two members of local staff. One works to clean rooms to support her studies and one works part time in addition to running her own restaurant on the other side of town. The two have varied schedules and work in housekeeping, kitchen, and some landscaping work. They are respected women in the community

Como una familia joven con un gran sueño, hemos creado un hotel acogedor y cálido donde tanto peruanos como viajeros de todo el mundo pueden sentirse como en casa. Rodeado de naturaleza y con vistas impresionantes a las montañas, nuestro hotel está pensado para familias, aventureros y quienes buscan desconectarse y recargar energías.
Estamos orgullosos de ser miembros activos de nuestra comunidad. Colaboramos de cerca con la municipalidad local, agencias de turismo y organizaciones sin fines de lucro para apoyar el crecimiento sostenible y generar un cambio positivo en nuestra región.
Este hotel funciona gracias a un pequeño pero poderoso equipo de 2 mujeres locales, y actualmente estamos buscando ayuda adicional para seguir creciendo juntos.
Contamos con dos empleadas locales. Una trabaja limpiando habitaciones para financiar sus estudios y la otra trabaja a tiempo parcial, además de dirigir su propio restaurante al otro lado de la ciudad. Ambas tienen horarios variados y trabajan en tareas de limpieza, cocina y jardinería. Son mujeres respetadas en la comunidad.

As part of our family-run project, you'll help with tasks like cleaning rooms, caring for our animals, supporting with breakfast, gardening, and occasionally managing the reception — all while practicing your Spanish in real-life situations. You'll connect with local people, visit colorful markets, and even have opportunities to get involved with nearby schools through our community ties. Carhuaz is a Quechua-influenced village, rich in tradition and surrounded by natural beauty. On your days off, you can explore breathtaking lagunas like Parón and 69 or hike in Huascarán National Park. This is a meaningful experience for travelers who want more than just a place to stay — it’s a chance to live, learn, and grow with us in the Peruvian Andes.
Como parte de nuestro proyecto familiar, ayudarás con tareas como la limpieza de habitaciones, el cuidado de nuestros gansos y conejos, el apoyo en el desayuno, trabajos de jardinería y, ocasionalmente, la atención en recepción — todo mientras practicas tu español en situaciones reales del día a día. Conectarás con personas locales, visitarás mercados coloridos y, gracias a nuestros lazos comunitarios, tendrás la oportunidad de involucrarte con escuelas cercanas. Carhuaz es un pueblo con influencia quechua, rico en tradiciones y rodeado de una belleza natural impresionante. En tus días libres, podrás explorar lagunas espectaculares como Parón o la 69, o hacer caminatas por el Parque Nacional Huascarán. Esta es una experiencia significativa para viajeros que buscan más que un lugar donde quedarse — es una oportunidad para vivir, aprender y crecer con nosotros en los Andes peruanos.
Help
We're looking for two motivated individuals to join us at the hotel!
Requirements:
– Conversational/intermediate Spanish (enough to manage reception and talk with guests)
– Positive attitude and willingness to help with a variety of tasks
– Minimum stay of 2 weeks
Tasks include:
– Cleaning hotel rooms and common areas
– Helping care for our rabbits, alpacas and sheeps.
– Supporting small landscaping and maintenance projects
– Occasionally managing reception when needed
We (Denis and Brenda) speak English and are happy to support and orient you.

We’ll share meals and experiences together, and while we support your language learning, we don’t provide formal tutoring.
Accommodation
Each volunteer will have a private room in the hotel with a full bed. You’ll also have access to a shared bathroom, kitchen, and laundry area.
Ingredients will be offered to the volunteers to cook their own food. The kitchen is large and the volunteers can use it whenever they want. There will be plenty of opportunities to eat together, especially for lunch and dinner. Denis loves to cook and Brenda loves to prepare sweets.
No fee will be charged for volunteering here. We believe that hours worked are a more than sufficient exchange for room and board. That being said, we cannot pay for transportation.
Cada voluntario tendrá una habitación privada en el hotel con una cama de dos plazas. También tendrá acceso a un baño compartido y cocina compartida.
Se ofrecerán ingredientes a los voluntarios para que cocinen su propia comida. La cocina es amplia y podrán usarla cuando quieran. Habrá muchas oportunidades para comer juntos, especialmente para el almuerzo y la cena. A Denis le encanta cocinar y a Brenda le encanta preparar dulces.
No se cobrará por el voluntariado aquí. Creemos que las horas trabajadas son más que suficientes para el alojamiento y la comida. Sin embargo, no podemos pagar el transporte.

We’re very excited to welcome you to our team and share this special time in our lives with you! From June through September, we’re expecting a busy season with many guests from around the world, and your help will make a real difference in creating a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who visits. On top of that, our family is growing — we have a baby girl on the way, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! This is a beautiful (and busy!) moment for us, and we’re looking forward to sharing it with kind, motivated people who want to be part of something meaningful in the heart of the Andes.

We have a lovely alpaca who is part of our daily life and the soul of our place. She is calm, curious, and very friendly with people. Volunteers often enjoy spending time with her, helping with basic care, feeding, and simply sharing peaceful moments in nature. Living with our alpaca is a beautiful way to connect with Andean culture, animals, and a slower, more meaningful rhythm of life.
