Help a family with gardening on their finca in Alicante, Spain

  Hi everyone, we are a Dutch family that decided to move to Spain after we have lived in the Caribbean for 10 years. We chose to come to the Costa Blanca because we found an amazing ruin in the mountains close to the coast that we have started renovating. It is a finca from the early 1900’s with stables and a wine factory that we have started bringing back to its old state, using the old materials (most of which we found inside the finca when we cleaned it out). Our project is off grid but we have power and water from our neighbors until we can stand on our own legs. We have almost finished the restoration (2 1/2 years of work) but need help with the finishing touches and the terrain around it (we have 1 acre of land). Therefor we are looking for workawayers that can comfortably stay in the house and do some work during the day.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  You will be living in an off grid finca in the mountains, just outside Benissa, Costa Blanca. We will be there every day working on the house and the terrain as well. We are Dutch and obviously there are Spaniards and Colombians around (they also help us with the house).

  Accommodation

  A restored finca with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the mountains. It is remote but there are neighbors to interact with. It’s about a 25 min drive to a town with all the amenities you need.
  
  We will offer all the meals. There is a refrigerator that we will fill up with food.

  It’s handson work we require but we are very much open to suggestions for improvement as we are doing this for the first time and are no experts.

  The last bit of the road towards our house is not asphalted (750 m). There are trucks and vans coming to our house so I reckon a camper must be able to make it as well.
