    Description

    Hello!

We are a small family living in the woods, surrounded by nature, with a beautiful lake right behind our home. Peace, fresh air, and stunning sunsets are part of our everyday life. We enjoy simple living, hands-on projects, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

We have two children (5 and 9 years old) who are curious, energetic, and love being outside. Part of the exchange may include spending time with them — playing, doing creative activities, or simply sharing family moments.

We also have several ongoing projects: home renovations (painting, sanding, small improvements), landscaping, building a chicken coop, and general outdoor work. If you enjoy practical work and being outside, you’ll feel comfortable here.

We value respect, openness, and cultural exchange. In return, we offer accommodation, meals, and the opportunity to experience authentic quebec lake-and-forest living.

We would be happy to welcome you and share this experience together!

    Bonjour !

Whether in summer or winter, there are an incredible number of activities to do in the Saguenay region. From simple wild berry picking to extreme sports like white-water kayaking or backcountry skiing, as well as rock climbing, hiking, and whale watching — there’s never a dull moment here if you love being outdoors.

The culture of organic farms and authentic small Quebecois villages is also very present. We can’t wait to meet people from different cultures to help our children learn about the world. We love to travel, and welcoming people from other countries into our home is a bit like going on a trip ourselves!

    ---

If you enjoy practical work and being outside, you’ll feel comfortable here. You might have to stay at home and take care of our 2 kids while we are at work, if that feels appropriate.

For sleeping, we offer several options: camping on the property, a semi-private room, and soon an additional room being prepared near the house. We live in a small log cabin in the heart of the forest.

Meals are provided. Depending on the work to be done around the house, we may ask for a little help preparing them, which is also part of the friendly, sharing experience.

    ---
