    Description

    Hi world! I’m Raúl :)

    Our project

We’re a group of friends, cats and collaborators developing a shared living project that’s also home to a cultural association.
The place includes a multipurpose room for yoga, dance, or creative workshops, and outdoor spaces with a vegetable garden, trees, and many plants that need love and care.

    Location

We’re in a small village inside Collserola Natural Park, right next to a beautiful forest — perfect for walks or running.
The train station is just a 10-minute walk away, with a direct connection to Barcelona (25 minutes, trains every 5 minutes).
Supermarkets, cafés, and a small local center are close by.

You’ll share the space with other residents and collaborators — it’s a social, creative, and nature-connected environment.
The neighborhood has a lovely atmosphere, with live music and a local market on Sundays.

We’re very happy and excited to be building this project, and we hope to learn and grow together with everyone who comes here.

    Accommodation and meals

You’ll have a small private room near the kitchen.
Please note: the room have a window facing an interior hallway, with no outside view, and you might hear some noise if someone is cooking — but we keep things quiet after 11 PM, and most people find it cozy and comfortable.

We provide bed sheets, towels, and everything you need for your stay.
The toilet and kitchen are shared with others, but the house is large and has plenty of common areas to relax, do yoga, read, or just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

We don’t provide meals — everyone buys and prepares their own food.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Most of us are vegetarian, but you can cook freely (just with respect for others).
Sometimes we cook or eat together, but usually everyone follows their own routine.

🚭 Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property, so unfortunately we can’t accept smokers.

    What we offer

-A peaceful and creative environment surrounded by nature

-The chance to learn and practice different skills

-Opportunities to practice Spanish or Catalan

-A great base to explore Barcelona and its surroundings

-Friendly, open-minded people and good vibes

    What we ask

    -Active, independent, and reliable people

-A positive attitude and willingness to help

-Respect for shared spaces and others

-DIY or manual skills are a plus

    -Good energy and teamwork spirit

    -A sense of humor!

Please read all the information carefully, and if you feel this project fits you, send your message and tell us a bit about yourself.
Feel free to ask any questions before coming — we’ll be happy to answer.

***Please make sure you have valid medical and travel insurance before coming. I can only host volunteers who are covered, just to keep things safe for everyone***

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
    Best regards,
    Raúl

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We’re not experts at anything — just curious learners of many things!
You might pick up a bit of gardening, plant care, DIY construction, real cleaning skills (haha!), vegan cooking, and maybe even some Spanish or Japanese, if you’re up for it!

  • Help

    Help

Our project is still in progress, so there’s plenty to do!
We’re looking for people who enjoy hands-on work, creativity, and a positive atmosphere.

    Typical tasks include:

    -Gardening and vegetable patch maintenance

    -Cleaning and organizing shared spaces

-Basic construction, carpentry, painting, or DIY projects

-Sorting and restoring second-hand materials for a future vintage shop

We value initiative, collaboration, a good sense of humor, and a positive attitude.
Please note: some tasks can be physical (lifting, mixing cement, etc.), so this is best suited for active people who enjoy teamwork and practical work.
If you’re just looking for a place to relax or stay for free — sorry, this isn’t the right place.

    Work schedule

We ask for about 4 hours of help per day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off (not necessarily weekends).
After breakfast, we usually start around 9:00 AM and finish around noon, with a short tea break in between.

    After work

Once the workday is over, you’re free to enjoy your time as you wish — stay at home and relax, go for a walk, explore Collserola Natural Park, or visit Barcelona (just a short train ride away).
If you enjoy music, please use headphones — we value a peaceful atmosphere and appreciate silence most of the time.
There’s also a quiet space where you can do your own daily practice, such as yoga, meditation, or stretching.

    Cleaning and daily routine

We kindly ask everyone to help keep the house tidy during their stay.
Of course, common sense applies — clean up after yourself and leave shared areas as you’d like to find them.
Before leaving, please do a general cleaning of your room and the spaces you’ve used.

Here are some examples of what’s expected daily (just to avoid misunderstandings based on past experiences):

    -Sweeping and mopping floors

-Cleaning bathrooms and showers (including removing hair after use)

-Washing, drying, and putting away dishes (yours and others’)

    -Cleaning the stove after cooking

-Avoid leaving personal items scattered around common areas

-Putting away tools and materials after use

Thank you! Keeping things clean and organized helps everyone feel comfortable and happy.

    A final note

The work here is generally light and pleasant, but we’ve had a few bad experiences with lazy or unmotivated people.
If we feel that the exchange isn’t working for either side, we’ll simply say goodbye — no hard feelings.

After that… just relax and enjoy — life is good!

    Free time and surroundings

During your free time, there’s plenty to enjoy around here.
The house is located next to Collserola Natural Park, a large green area full of trails for walking, running, or cycling. You can also explore small villages hidden in the hills, with local cafés and beautiful viewpoints over Barcelona.

We’re only a 10-minute walk from the train station, with direct trains to the city every 5 minutes — you can be in Barcelona in 25 minutes!
There you’ll find museums, concerts, the beach, and all kinds of cultural life.

Closer to home, the neighborhood is friendly and lively — on weekends there’s live music and a local market.
You can also enjoy quiet time in the garden, read, meditate, or practice yoga.

This is a perfect spot if you like nature, creativity, and simple community living, while still being very close to the city.
We have wifi but not tv.
We keep a calm atmosphere — ideal for people who value simplicity and silence.
