Description
G’day, I’m Chris. I live near Fremantle on the coast of Western Australia. I’m into the ocean, sailing, fitness, music, wildlife and the outdoors.
It’s a relaxed home in a great part of Perth, close to beaches, cafés, markets and everything Fremantle has to offer.
I’d be happy to host an independent traveller who wants a comfortable base, good company and a proper Australian summer experience. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I’m happy to share the best of life around Fremantle — beaches, sailing, swimming, local cafés, markets, music and the laid-back WA lifestyle.
I can also share plenty about Australian wildlife, conservation and the outdoors.
I enjoy meeting people from different countries, hearing how they see the world, and learning a bit about their culture, language and food along the way. -
Help
A mix of light help around the home depending on what needs doing — gardening, basic cleaning, cooking, walking the dog, and occasionally helping with high-school homework or tutoring if that suits your skills.
Nothing too formal. I’m looking for someone practical, independent and happy to contribute a little while enjoying plenty of free time to explore Fremantle and Perth. -

Accommodation
Private garden-style room with a queen-size bed, kitchenette, refrigerator and air conditioning. The space is separate from the main living areas and provides a comfortable, quiet base during your stay.
Workawayers will have full use of the kitchen and space to store their own food. I will provide basic breakfast and lunch staples and groceries, and we will often share dinner together when schedules allow. On other nights, Workawayers are welcome to cook for themselves using the kitchen. The exchange is light and flexible, so the food arrangement is intended to be relaxed and practical rather than a formal three-meals-a-day service. -
What else ...
There is plenty to do in your free time. Fremantle is nearby with beaches, cafés, restaurants, markets, live music, museums and a great waterfront. Perth city is also easy to reach by public transport.
The coast is a big part of life here, so swimming, walking, cycling and spending time at the beach are all easy options. Rottnest Island is accessible by ferry from Fremantle and makes a great day trip.
There are regular bus and train services around Fremantle and Perth, so having a car is helpful but not essential. I’m also happy to help visitors get oriented when they arrive and suggest places worth seeing. -
